how npc reacting to weapon volume.

I want to ask, what these values means?

snd_silncer_shot = weapons\groza\groza_shoot_sil, 0.5

I know its settings for sound volume, but is the volume depends how NPC's will react? Does this mean anything for them? Or its just for me ?

Did you sy about the weapon volume to obtain a npc reaction?

I think that you need to search in config/creatures files, not in weapons files.

EDIT: search this line in config/creatures files like m_army.ltx ...
sound_threshold = 0.05
self_sound_factor = 1.0 ;1.0

I didn't change this value, but i think this is it.
You need to test it.

If you decrease the sound threshold, first npc will have the same reaction for actor or for a second npc.

I don't think that engine use two differents system between actor vs npc or npc vs npc.

But all is possible. I don't know.

xr_danger is more linked to NPC reaction by sound more then anything else. Threshold just determines how much it takes before the sound is inserted into an NPCs memory. Only so much you can do with ogg commenting and sound thresholds if you don't alter the danger ignore distances for sound. For instance if you are having issues with NPCs not reacting to bullet fire, ricochets or friends being attacked when the player is far away it's an issue with low ignore distances in xr_danger.
