panic_threshold question?

Hey guys,

Can someone please explain to me how panic works?

you see, i have these rats that spawn from certain broken creates and they are not hostile to the player. but they once they spawn, they just kinda wonder off as if nothing has happened. What i want is for them to run around madly at first, then calm down after some time.

i have been playing around with the likes of panic_threshold, max_ignore_distance, eye_range and max_hear_distance, etc. They seem to go into panic mode rather easily, but not spawn already in a state of panic....

thanks in advance for any help, shad

Try create a separate home point for each rat but place it a few metres away from where they spawn. Then add the line "aggressive_home = true" so they will sprint to their home point when spawned and look a bit panicked. Then add a signal to the home point so "on_signal" they will switch to another home point you create but for that section you set panic = 0

i dont think thats gonna work bro, cos they have a random chance to spawn from any create when it breaks. so there can be no home location.
