flash trap and others
hi im new to this forum and i want to share some ideas for this game.
first thing would be (i think) an easy implented gadget like.. creature trigger location..create lightsource at x blah blah
The "gadget" is a wire that you can set up in a perimeter betwen two trees or any chokepoint and when a creature or human steps on the wire, a lightflare shoots up in the air and illuminates a big area. You know what i mean if you seen the movie platoon. great thing if your setting up a camp and reading the journal, cleaning weapons etc. and all the sudden 250 meters away you see a red flare shoots up and you know that something dosent belong in this wood.
Well basicly i would want some traps in this game as it will be a large area to move about.
Punji sticks
beartraps
mines
whatever trap there is that will suit this game
excuse my spelling and grammar, anyone agree that this would be nice addition to this game? |

Instead of lighting up the area, why not make it blind the poor soul which finds its way in there? Then you can taunt and wack it as many times as your little heart desires .
In 2005, World of Warcraft destroyed the lives of millions of seemingly normal people, plunging them headlong into a virtual world of might, magic and adventure. It's alluring ease of play and eloquent interface sucked the souls and stole the lives of businessmen, housewives, teachers, the young and the old...Set your watches forward to 2012. Stalker Coreleases with its pentultimate mod: Stalker of Warcraft! The great Dwarven nuclear reactors have malfunctioned, sending Azeroth into a global apocalypse. Can you survive in this bleak, twilight world? Strap on your gasmasks and embark on the ultimate quest: The quest to find another living soul so that you don't lose your mind!
Hey, you find a better idea for a mod.

---QUOTATION--- Or set up your spare AK to be triggered when something trips the wire. (Facing in the right direction of course!) Then you could have a turret to shoot anything that came near. You could also put a dwarf that had come under your mind control powers into a tree and make him direct the fire and change magazines. Then he'd always have something to read and you'd have an automated turret while you clean your other guns! ---END QUOTATION---
Yes i like your idea on the Auto turret, maybe the best idea for this game so far. I dont know about the dwarf thou
Or maybe a handheld motiontracker whit poor batteries that send false signals and even shut down sometimes that would be nice for the night survival. |

Or: A wire that sets off a grenade? I think I saw one in Vietcong. I would NOT like any mega hitech cannons that fire lasers at enemies.
Motion tracking? How many people can afford motion tracking? How many people really HAVE a motion tracker at their disposal? |

Yes vietcong had the wire grenade with the engineer class and that was very fun in multiplayer
Iknow that motion tracker would not be realistic but who knows what the shopkeepers have? maybe a hightech (rich?) stalker that roams the zone just for the thrill of it carries one and gets himself blasted by the military. And another stalker finds his gear and sells it. Hence the low battery of its extensive use some while ago... |

Actually, some DO have eyes, they're just all atrophied.
They're supposed to have a sense of smell in addition to psychic ( or what-
ever) sense. It'd be mighty nifty if you could use scent in a trail of bread
crumbs sort of ense to lure a pack into a trap.
Fetch pup, fetch! *drops a grenade into a courtyard* |

shh. they are called blind dogs because they use telepathic sight and not normal. therefore a flash probly wouldn't effect them unless you count the sound. And you can just see a roaming stalker walking into your trap and making a bad infulence with his clan can't you =P

Why not take a T-80 tank and dig it down under the ground a bit, just that you can see the pipe stuck out from a nearby standing bush... Then draw a thin trap wire from the tank to a tree. Then make sure that the pipe direction are against a tree 20m away. Then count out what direction the tree will fall after the tank shot and blast. Make sure that the tree falls over the thin trap wire. In this way you get the blast first and then after 2second the tree will fall over the trapped enemy... Mhuahaha... Coool !!! |

you're a bit overreacting with all those traps(i agree simple ones should be needed)even a simple made trap(like the grenade trip wire someone mentioned)would do even more than needed(so why the turrets and all those flashes????just take a glass bottle a wire and a grenade that simple) |
