---QUOTATION---
I dont know about all this VR Balogna, but to start off cant we at least start getting moniters rated by angle vision instead of this 21" 19" 17" crap. All i want is a moniter that can support 130 degrees of freedom. I can't remember how many times i've died in a game simply because i'm limited to 80 degrees and i couldn't see that one terrorist who's just barely out of my moniters reach.

BTW this also adds greatly to the immersion factor. Try playing a game where you can turn up the field of view and set it to 130 and put your face really close to the screen. It's a pain to your eyes and not good but its amazing how emmersive it gets. (hl2 command is fov)

Quite true.

A simple increase of 20 to 60 degrees from the usual 75-90 degrees can increase the amount of immersion by quite a bit.

[Hopefully Stalker will have somewhere around a 110 degree view, and allow the player to alter the view radius without severe distortion. (Play HL1 and increase the view radius to 90. you can see around corners.)]
