Forest Bugs (and interim workarounds - SPOILERS)

1.4002
(Because this was really bad on 1.4000)

You go to Forest for three possibilities early game:

1) Seriy's lost mate.
2) Voronin's mission ("Run-in at the mine"
3) Electro Oasis visitation for speed arts.

It's nice that a blowout shelter has been provided for the Dutyers @ bar exit.

The 'Eye of the Storm' shelter doesn't work. OR its LOCATION is off a bit and would place you in a lethal anomaly if you were in the shelter.
I say this because - having replayed from an earlier save (the blowout is fixed, and you have to wait it out) at the mine, I got the 'shelter recognition' (marker goes out) OUTSIDE the pithead building.
Very similar to standing on top of the Dead City Admin Building in LA v1.3003 - you get 'protected in the wild...

Voronin's mission.
This is great fun! It would be a LOT MORE FUN if I could find any memsticks..
(Another contrib posted similar gripes, somewhere else on the forum, but I can not locate it atm) It could be a bug, but my jury is out on this one currently) Did I search? Well I thought I did. If the drive / memstick is on a bandit stiff on the roof then it's a BUG. Hell, I got one of the snipers to FALL OFF the damn roof. Naturally, his rifle remained upstairs out of reach.
The other one just died - prostrated on a gurney - yielded a pair of 5.45 BPs and little else. All the other bandits are the usual thug cannon fodder.

Reloads remove the bods from the board - so I'm guessing that they're unimportant...

Eventually, I have to call it, and work back to the Bar by way of 'rescuing' Seriy's pal:

I set "Gordon" on his merry way - and dashed back for my loot at the Mine.
Because, once we got under way again, there was a bloody Blowout (which was how I discovered that the map focus was 'off' in re the EO shelter)

So I worked around this annoyance by slumming it at the mine for an hour (discovering the pithead geography anomaly), on the basis that he might be much more immortal than me.
He was.
After being released from the mission ("Find an old friend" at 23.57h, it would have been derelict of me not to run back to the EO..

Back at the bar, Voronin had vanished (still in the area by StalkerNet radio, but physically elsewhere)
So I'm stuck with 0.2kg of Bandit PDA, and 3kg deadweight of laptop.
Can't unload it.
Bug?

Forest Bugs

As for Voronin's mission, the Memory Stick is inside the drawers in the corner, also, there are ladders for you to climb up to the roof to ambush the snipers and also reach their loot

In my newly installed v1.4002 I haven't had 1 blowout and I am at day 4 on the Stalker calender, so the Forest was a piece of cake for me and everything worked out with no quest bugs.

There are still issues around where not ALL scenarios were tested by Dezowave's team, hence your bugs came forward

The bodies only disappear when reloading after a long time, probably around 30-60 minutes in game time. What I usually do is, I go and press the Use key on all bodies to make sure I get any stashes they might have, then I unload all loot and drop them in a pile on the ground so I can fetch my car to load the loot in there.

Many thanks for the tip. You have no idea how many times I searched drawers in that base... just not from the correct ANGLE.
Managed to 'unload' before Merc raid on Bar.

I do that too with lootpiles. Just hope a poltergeist doesn't show during pickup, they're more common in DC...

Agroprom

I had a loot pile once in Agroprom, the Burers underground went mad and threw all the guns at me, just have to be quick enough to pick the loot up before they throw it
