Hey Darius, do you know which file I need to edit if I want to loop S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s main menu music? By default, the music doesn't loop, it just plays once, and I'd like for it to loop.

Sorry, i have no idea. I'll have to check, if the default music has some metadata in it, like loop points or something similar.

EDIT:

No, i checked, the default music is just a long musical sample. Can't remember, does the vanilla theme loop at all?

EDIT 2:

Hmm,found something interesting while digging around. The Ui_mm_main.xml contains which song is to be played at the main menu, but there is this variable:

menu_sound random="0" < as you see, it's set to 0 by default. I'm pretty sure that enabling this might make it possible to have multiple songs playing randomly at the mainmenu. And it could be used as a workaround for looping. Just add your song to the list
twice below this variable,so then maybe it will play it over and over again, trying to play random music, but instead having just one song. I hope that makes any sense...

Hey Darius, I want to ask you, can Kanyhalos use some of your sounds from your sound mod? He'll give you credit, of course.

It's just that I really liked your sounds and I am in the process of adding some of mine to his mod, but they're mixed with yours. It will take me shitloads of time to sort them out.

Is that okay? It's going to be just the NPC noises.

Yeah, sure. Although my mod doesn't actually have character voices, i've just changed the breathing sounds. But yeah, i already said in the readme that the sounds are free to be used as long as i get credited.

Little news for 1.06

This version will now include new weapon sounds. I've done most of the basic weapon sounds, using Redux sounds as a base. Still have to work the
handling sounds, reload/draw etc. for various guns.
Done so far:

-Ak74
-Aksu
-Abakan
-Mp5
-Sig550
-LR300
-Makarov
-Silenced Makarov
-Rpg7
-Usp 45
-Val
-Vintorez
-F1 grenade
-Svu
-Svd

Also, i've done some completely new ambient sounds for night-time and alot of new sounds for x-18. Lots of creepy atmosphere in the lab now.

Still to do:

-The rest.

@hey Darius,
I have followed the advice from Goffik, and got very confused. This is simply beyond me. Would you be able to release a version off annoying audio fix (with permission of course) that has all the ogg comments fixed, either bundled with your mod or separate? I know it's rather rude of me to ask you to fix a mod that's not even yours.

What do you think?

Not released yet. I'm still working on some weapon sounds.

@Shadow state: I checked the annoying audio fix, and i think it's ok to include in my mod.
The readme said it's ok as long the original creator is credited.

EDIT:

I really should get my act together again. I've completely lost track with my mod, since i've been fixing sounds for others, betatesting the Priboi story, etc.

I'll try to get 1.06 released soon. Still have to fix a few sounds for weapons.
