Well, no actually.
I've been doing so much other stuff.
It IS coming, I'll have to go through my notes and see what I'll come up with.
The silencers will be fixed. Plus there will again be some new ambient sounds, but other than that, I've got nothing new...

EDIT: I'm still waiting for the next big idea.

How about that ambient music thing I suggested a while back?

Well, don't know really. First to find the suitable music, that would be pretty hard I think. I do have some of my own ambient soundscapes that might do. I'll have to look into this.

EDIT: I was actually toying with the idea of replacing the background music with an extension to the ambient soundscape, like add nature sounds, distant stormsounds etc. That would make the ingame ambience even more immersive, when there would constantly be some sort of natural sound there instead of the random ambient sounds that can only be played one at a time by the games sound engine...

This would actually be pretty awesome - I normally have the music turned off so that I can listen to my own stuff in the background. Might as well use the ability to play ambient sound tracks to your advantage.

Have you find a way to replace footstep sounds for NPCs as well?

Well, i'm working on it. There is a folder with npc sounds, but i don't know what the game uses and whats just "leftovers". Wish i could find the file that defines the sounds used by npc's. Otherwise it's just to mix and match...
---END QUOTATION---

Use placeholder sounds to test it. Just record yourself saying the name of the file and use that as the footstep sound. You'll literally hear which sounds are used. Then replace those, and keep an ear out for any new ones that you havn't replaced yet.

Umm, I've actually solved that thing like 5 months ago...

Ok, I've sort of started working on this again.
So far I've made a new "global" silencer sound. I thought that it would be a
nice touch to mix the gun mechanics to the silencer sound, always thought that it sounded silly that you got to only hear the pop from the silencer, as if the mechanics of the gun wouldn't work when a silencer is attached. Now the AK74 (which I use as a test subject) has the sound of the slide "click" with the silencer shot. Don't really know, if this is required for other guns (unique sound per gun) since the silencer shot sounds pretty much the same with other guns (pistols excluded of course).

Also, I'll probably fix some vanilla sounds, which seem to have some glitches in them (first to come to mind is the loop inside brain scorcher).

The ambient music/soundscapes might take a bit longer to create, since
even the Cordon "music" is 8 minute track.

Also, Darius, how about looping that main menu music? Found a way to do it yet?

Nope. Haven't figured it out yet.
