Porting models (For Personal Use)

Alright, modelling, bones, vertexes... never been my any of my strong points. But I came across a file of a the Clear Sky Sidovirich model ported for SHOC, as well as the Clear Sky hands for SHOC, so obviously porting is a possibility, has anyone made any attempts?

What would need to be done to port Clear Sky models into SHOC, I'm sure bone structures and such have changed so some conversion would probably be involved, but as refreshing as it is to see a few higher-poly models in SHOC I'd like to give it an attempt.

Anyone have any advice?

Again, its all for personal use.

IMHO not worth the attempt, for SHoC that is.

I imagine it would be hell getting everything to convert right. So far the process seems like it should go something like: Import the old SHoC model for the bone setup, delete SHoC mesh, merge in CS mesh, so that just leaves the huge problem of rebinding the model to each bone?

Easy tutorial for porting npc models between SOC - CS/COP and vica versa.

http://www.mediafire.com/view/?5zz9mn2f5a9mz5n

Even i could port ~300 mesh for COP with this tut, and i have almost zero modeling knowledge.
