i'm curious as to one particular thing:
how did you move the gun further towards the center of the screen? is it a FOV increase or something? how did you do it?
---END QUOTATION---

If I'm using the correct term, then he changed the weapon's origin. I'm not sure how it's done, most likely changing the position values in weapon's config file.

I can't wait until this is released. Those new textures look amazing

Oh, I've already got that. I meant to say weapon skins, I don't know why I said textures

Actually it's a hand picked and implemented composite of Clear Sky textures and Argus in very few areas, such as wood. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop spreading misinformation and pointless cynicism.

The reason I preferred Clear Sky textures, aside from the obvious preference aspect, was because they were far more optimized at 1024x1024 instead of the absurd memory requirements created from Argus's 4096x4096 maps. This creates less stability issues related to memory overloads, and makes allows less stuttering and performance increase on mid range hardware configurations.

I am glad that you have the option to choose what to play with, it is a real pain to have to play low/medium graphic settings in SmP.

I really wish you guys luck!

I'm curious - are you using vanilla Clear Sky textures, or some from NeilMC's Texture Pack?

Just as a suggestion, if you haven't seen them yet, NMC's texture pack is defi worth checking out, but I can't remember how large the texture files are . . .

This looks great. I think the people criticizing mod packs for not adding new things to the game should maybe take a break from STALKER for a while. There are plenty of people out there like myself who haven't played through the game 100 times and enjoy these mod packs because it saves us a lot of work!

Just got some ideas which I think might be beneficial to the mod in general (Some probably to much of a pain to implant lol)

1. Perhaps a bigger emphasis on freeplay?

2. More random events or triggers

3. Revamped PDA (More information, interactivity?) [Example would be faction relations, bounty's, and more detail on zone activity, etc]

4. New innovative weapon upgrades for most weapons? (You could also modify guns guns your self if you find a schematic? eg. Increase firing speed but more likly to jam and less accuracy, modify weapon with artifact "x" for radioactive bullets, etc)

5. larger/more dangerous mutant/zombie raids (Probably falls under the random event point)

6. More minor factions/gangs - Maybe even the possibility of starting your own faction once you gain enough respect and skill. (You could control your faction through the PDA etc)

That's kind of an oxymoron, isn't it?

Concerning SWO/Random weather vs Panoramic skyboxes... I'm pretty sure I'd prefer Panoramic with a nice set of weathers. TBH I don't look up and watch the sky that much and while a realistically circling sun is a great detail, going from no real horizon to a proper one is, imo, a much more noticable change. As long as you can get rid of that bullshit about needing to start a MP map before playing SP to make it look right . Just my 2c.
