The first scenario. LURK is in the tree but below gamedata.

you need to copy the "gamedata" folder out of the "L.U.R.K. 1.1" folder and copy it into your SOC directory so it looks like this

F:\Program Files\THQ\Shadow of Chernobyl\gamedata

What should it be?

First one

Installation problems

I have tried twice to install LURK 1.1, but keep getting the Vanilla STALKER SOC game when I start the game.
Here is my process:
Install clean copy of SOC retail to my F drive (I have 3 HD drives; C:, E:, and F: Games are on F, OS is on C.) Update to 1.05, step by step from 1.01 to 1.05. Install LURK and unpack the .rar archive to F: Program File/THQ/Shadow of Chernobyl. Changed gamedata from false to true. Start game; I get Vanilla everytime.

Ideas?

So do you now have F:\Program Files\THQ\Shadow of Chernobyl\gamedata sitting there? Or do you have F:\Program Files\THQ\Shadow of Chernobyl\LURK2011\gamedata...

Does anyone have a way, or know of a way, to get the 1.05 HUD back into 1.1? If it weren't for the ultra minimalistic HUD this would be my favorite mod of all time.

looks like LURK development has started up again which Im happy to see, i just hope they can fix alot of the stuff in it, or maake it more...stalker like somehow

With Holden still leading the team, not gonna happen.

really ? and why ??
---END QUOTATION---

Because the mod follows Holden's particular brand of STALKER taste, which is a farcry from Vanilla Stalker.

I don't care what it is like. the LURK series has been my favorite mod series ever, and I would orgasm if I could play 2.0. I feel like it is more how stalker should play like. But, of course, that is opinion.
