Weapon damages

Hi there. In the past I've used the Oblivion Lost mod as a base for my game, and then heavily modified it from there, but this time I decided to go with L.U.R.K. instead. My only issue is that in L.U.R.K. weapons do significantly less damage. However, the actual weapon config files have the same (or very similar) damage values. So what files do I need to change to make the weapons more deadly?

I'm assuming I have to modify health values or something?

Just change hit_power for whatever weapon you want. They are all usually set at 0.something - change it to a whole number (like 1.0) and try it out. The higher that number, the fewer shots required for a kill.

The weapon damages in SHOC are determined by the hit_power = setting in each individual w_xxxx.ltx (or in unique_items.ltx) multiplied by that weapon's ammo_classes' k_hit = variable in the weapons.ltx file.

If you were after realistic & high damage from each and every shot, then take a look at these multiplier settings from PLR's Realistic Weapons (2.5) mod:;88736

Unfortunately the k_pierce= plays even greater role in here. It works correctly as piercing coefficient against materials, but strangely, it is translated in additional hit damage against humans and monsters, A LOT more damage. Play carefully with those values.

I don't have LURK so I can't go rummaging through the files, but my suspicion is that you should look at what kind of damage reduction the enemies have.

Increasing weapon damage goes both ways; you will also take more damage. If this is what you want then feel free to bump up the damage %. To save time I recommend changing this by ammo type rather than by going through every single weapon individually.
