Hmm, does that mean in other words that there really exists a memory-related issue with the 1.0005 super bin?

At least the 1.0005 superbin exe is a cracked one, and it has some issues.
The 1.0006 superbin is based on a public released developer version of the 1.0006 patch (released with pdb files, and no dvd needed to run), and the russian binary voodoo modders seem overly like it, and edit its binaries like hell.

This is the readme of the 1.0006 superbin, it gives some answer:

"This is a original developers NoDVD's for S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl rus* version 1.0006.

These files are ORIGINAL exe's without ANY protection, not the ones reconstructed from StarForce VM code. Reconstructed NoDVD's, listed on site, have a lots of flaws - first of all engine threads sync is broken so sometimes game crashes in situations where original exe working normally, second problem is that game bug-tracking system just can't be reconstructed from VM data, so there is none of it. As result any game engine-related crash haven't any log at all.
Third thing - if npc have broken logic, on original exe is just stuck with error message passed in log. On NoDVD game is crashing on desktop immediately without any log, which leads to "broken" saves (in fact they are working - they just contains a npc with broken logic in Alife radius) in many mods.

This NoDVD's haven't this problems, and they working 100% like the original game exe.

-fixxed a bug with "(bytes_need<=mSize) && vl_Count" error on r2 renderer (in fact the DVB now increased to 4096K)
-"GlobalMemoryStatusEx" changed to "GlobalMemoryStatus" to provide efficient memory usage on low mem systems
-added hud_fov_switcher (hud_fov_switcher.cmd + patch2.exe) optimized for this executable"

there is a world-wide verion of this exe, which works with english version

OK, thank you. Too bad the version for 1.0005 has those issues. Can't move to 1.0006 at the moment for compatibility reasons.

There are a few options you can set in Fxaa3_11.h or shader.fx, don't remember which one.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
