Just insert the XR_3DA.exe only into the 1.0005 bin. Does that work ok?
If yes, try the other files one at a time. As I understand it the xr files are just the RU equivalent of ours. Bamah uses a RU version of the game. The sound dll files are just to help with the BSODS from a Creative Sound Blaster.

It doesn't make a difference, if you spawn an npc in all.spawn or you spawn it with scripts. Or does? The invalid ai map will cause troubles for both.
This is the main reason i don't play and i don't mod those mods, whose levels were attached in 2008-2009 with aiwrapper tool. You can recognize these mods, if they have in the mod gamedata\levels\... folders level_sectors.ai files, which means, that it was made with aiwrapper (which is based on the build 2215 xrAI).

With aiwrapper it was possible to make a level.graph from an invalid AI map too, and you could gather a spawn with this erratic graph. So if a modder didn't verifiy the ai map, he simply could make a bad ai map/bad graph, and it means troubles for AI. The modders didn't pay attention on this, as i see, they didn't verify their ai maps.

I don't say that every new level is bad in russian mods... but i checked the levels from AMK NS and Tecnobacon's mod... all levels, which was not released as single player level by GSC, had an invalid ai map. Some of them had more thousand errors, with 0-connection nodes, double nodes, ai map islands etc.

I don't say that aiwrapper is a bad tool... you can verify with this tool too, but it let you to make critical errors, which impacts AI badly.

The new xrAI from 2010, what i'm constantly advertising here on the forum, doesn't let you to do these kind of errors. It's whining and ctd-ing much often than aiwrapper, but if it accepts what you made in the level editor, you can be sure that this ai WILL work properly in the game.

It is about 11.2 GB at the moment(OGSE version) with about 60-70 new NPCs. Since the AI maps are kinda messed up from the original level maps I'm using. I chose to script spawn all the new levels on different timers and level load or first run spawns "OGSM style respawn and ZRP stranger type spawning". This makes all the new levels populated and kinda Fatrap Run'n gun and they do not dry out. It's good as a true FPS mod with atmosphere in Freeplay style. It is not a quest mod at all. Just wander and survive with about 60 new weapons. I actually like this. I do not have the patience to properly fix the maps as Borovos and Bangalore seem to... wish I did. I like scripting. I'm actually working on 3, all are 11.3 GB or so.
One mod is based on Razzor's OGSM countinued 1.5 another is on OGSE 6.9.2 and the 3rd is Xian's FPS 1.2.1 all 41 level. I like modding probably more than playing. I only finished SHoC once using ABC pre 1.4 version.

@Bamah, Hello, The 40+ level mod you mention is it one that is available to download? Is this a mod you are currently making and if so good luck with it.


EDIT: Bamah, Cheers for replying, it sounds like it could be an enjoyable zone, I am sure it would be popular if you ever did upload. I would like it, plenty would, anyway good luck with it.

This is just the XR_3DA.exe.
This is all you need to play the Kostya V, Clear Sky and CoP Levels in patch 1.0005 SHoC.

The caveat is it does not always render a proper log. Modders test your new level mods with the original exe or us one from Technobacon's soup they are better than original bin files, but still will CTD with too much action.

Note:
The exe I provided was not originally done by me just modified further by me. It...now listen people....does not cause additional CTDs, in a mod you are using it to play. It quits sometimes before logging a proper error. The CTDs are the poor code of the mod you are playing or the xray engine itself. The exe is just not always logging on quit.
It does well in Soup and my 41 level mod. Yes...not all ctds are correctly logged, but it is not the exe that causes additional CTDs.
If I could fix it I would. I fixed a Russian version but I cannot fix the Eng version...yet. I cannot wrap my head around it properly.
