All these environment.ltx problems are caused by me using Beta Style Weather as starting point for the DW mod while trojanuch was using ...something else. Unfortunately neither of us thought about it

The script file should overwrite the OL2.2 one - don't even think of merging

Wolfehunter, you're doing a superb job finding these bugs

I'll try and fire up OL2.2 and install the realese then see if I can get some of the more obvious bugs eradicated.

I'm sure you have figured it out but for the sake of others' mental health I'll explain anyway: The problem is caused by missing include directive. The following needs to be added near the top of environment.ltx:

What to do with it? Commented out?

This mght be connected with flares fix - SWO has it's own method of making the flares visible (which can be disabled in OL). So - try deleting:

00_flares_fix = 00_sect_flares_fix
and
#include "weather_flares_fix.ltx

in envirnoment.ltx

Also make shure that all adddtional files from OL config > weathers are present!

Its still not working. I still get bright nights. I'm going to restore your flares and turn off the OL ones to see if that helps. but just to be sure which one do I turn off?

I tried what you asked above but it still doesn't work I will try just the weather _flares and keep the oo_flare_fix hehehe Last combination to try.

Ah I've should have known there is a relationship between the two. Doesn't work also...

By the way the photo shows with your 2 lines removed. I still get the bright nights.

I think SmP values are different than OL 2.2... I'm going to have to tinker with the flares.ltx to get the nights just right.

OK, you can stop your merging now, as I've made it run (with SmPv2.2)....

The only file that reauired any tweaking was envirnoment.ltx. Here are the merge instructions:

1. Install OL (or SmP).

2. Copy over SWOv3.0 CORE. Overwirte all files exept envirnoment.ltx

3. Copy the level_weathers.script from DWv0.9 (you can modify it with the instructions above)

4. Paste these contents of envirnoment.ltx:

Well - that's it

However - i think that new game moght be reqired cause when I loaded my SmP save the gam ctd with empty log.

With new game however - it started ok, I've run around Cordon for a while, used sleeping bag etc. Also the weather made a cycle switch. Of course I didn;t have a blowout yet - so this still reqires testing.

However it seems ok....

What exactly does SMP change with regard to weather compared to "clean" OL2.2?

In the test that I made a few minutes ago (see my previous post) I had a pretty good (rainy/stormy/cloudy) day in cordon sleeping a lot until a blowout hit around 0:30. The blowout looked OK, it completed OK and the SWO weather resumed... so why shouldn't this work for SMP?

But I did have to start a new game since I had no saves from last time I played OL.

I don't know maybe I need to start a new game? Files have been tweaked to work with SmP earlier versions. If I new the answer I would have fixed it. Regardless I'm using trojanuch's instructions. I'm redoing it. Plus adding DW scripts as requested... Maybe solve some problems? Trial and error...

Trojanuch, I'm going to make the SmP v2.3 have the Core files with DW 0.9 level weather script. I'll add the configuration options for manual choices with or without moons, etc as and option choice for players personal tastes. The other options you proved are already included in SmP like textures and ambient sounds.

I don't really know if there is any difference between SmP and OL - I think that as much as it interests us - it does not matter.

However - I had a pretty funny thing - when I've used the sleeping bag during the transition I got a debug msg: 'need to fix times' and on every switch point I got the msg that transition isgoing to occur... Also the weather stopped changig at all. So if aything might require looking at - is the interaction of your scripts with sleeping bag.

It works fine for 90% of the time - but...

OK, so it's time do wrap a sort of first update - 3.0.1 - with mornings fixed, scripts from DW v0.9 and OL compatibility package... Shit adn I wanted sme vacation....

OK - no prob. You might want too look at Texture Addon - i think it provides better floral retextures than the one you use atm - but it's a matter of personal teaste...

Oh, and make shure to test everythink - look at the info above. Potential problem with sleeping bag might be just atip of the iceberg...
