Stalker AGRU patch.

This patch is aimed to fix many gameplay issues the game has. Currently these changes were made:

Major gameplay changes:

- All prices are tripled
- All damage is doubled
- Shooting is more precise

Minor fixes
- Eye level is raised up
- Corpses disappear faster

Next version of the patch will fix respawn problem. Also some variety of goods will be added to the traders. May be something more, stay tuned

Grab it here:

http://franticgames.com/portfolio/sergey/AGRU_Stalker_Patch_02.exe

Installation:

Just copy "gamedata" folder from the archive to your game directory. Thats it. To delete this mod, simply delete this folder from your game folder

ps. Dont forget to give feedback.

Dont worry, the mod does not damage save files in any case.

The balance will be improved during further versions. Just give me feedback

Quick question; to revert to the original settings I just need to make a backup of the original gamedata.db file and then replace your modified one with that original? I ask simply because I'm still on my first run through and I might want to continue as originally intended

No. Sorry I didnt mention how to install this patch. Check the 1. post again, I edited it.

The beauty is - you actually CANT make any damage to your game or save files. If you have any problems, do this:

1. Tell me about that here
2. Delete that gamedata folder

can you modify it so you sell things for alot less? Ive been trying for a few days to modify the prices so eventually you had hard earned money that you had to spend wisely.

Ill try out the mod though, since the pricing and the respawn are they only two things alot of people have issues with.

Kye.

Yes in the next version. I will set to 1/10 of the price. Maybe less, testing is needed.

very cool

Here is one idea...

Bandages should stop your bleeding (the little Blood dropplet icon that appears, whenver you get hit).

Basically when you start to see red blood droplet, your health starts to drain, as if you are bleeding profoundly...

Well bandages should stop bleading (Turn the blood droplet into green and then make it disaper all togehter), but they shouldn't heal you.

Only med-packs can heal you.

Yes I agree with you.
Food should not heal you at all (only from hp loss caused by hunger)
And if it would be possible that medpack heals you over-the-time and not instantly it would be much more realistic.

For the next version, could you do one with NO increased accuracy? only doubled damage. Because I think accuracy is fine and realistic sofar (onlything that buggers me is the ironsight view which sometimes aimes too high for my liking, but thats not a problem off accuracy)

thx, I'm very gratefull for anything that makes stalker less arcade-mainstream shooter and adds some requirement for skill instead

Oh and why the faster dissapearing corpses?!? It adds so much to realism when they stay after a fight and you can see what you've acctually done (killed).

You can edit the Zoom on the ironsights by editing the files in the gamedata/config/weapons

And find this line

scope_zoom_factor = 80

Double Damage = Good, realistic.
Increased accuracy = NO!!!

Jesus F'ing Christ.
Go to a shooting range with a pistol, now see if you can hit anything worth a damn from more than 50ft away. You can't. The accuracy in stalker is fine. The "super accurate guns with no recoil or spread, and perfectly stable bullet flight" in all of those other FPS's just has you spoiled.

Please. Make a version without the stupid unrealistic super accurate guns.
Other than that. Thanks. Nice mod.

Ok guys. Thx for your inputs. The damage issue has become clear to me, as with increased accuracy enemies are very easy to kill.

-------------------------------------------------------------
For now I can offer you the next version - 0.3. Grab it here:

http://customize.addondb.com/625/stalker-agru-patch/

::Changes in this version::

- Traders are now buying goods for 1/10 of its prise
- Two times smaller human world population (in other words - two times smaller spawning)
- Monster population increased by factor "1.5" (no worries, humans have double damage, remember?)
------------------------------------------------------

Currently me and some other guys are busy with balancing, so expect better gameplay in the next version.

Keep comment guys. Otherwise I dont know what to fix!

Have fun!

I had to register to say that this mod sounds like what I thought the game was going to be in the first place. The default accuracy is fine and feels great though. If and when the accuracy goes back to default I will excitedly download this.

Nice, this is great i love the spawning features there should allways have been more mutants than humans. Is it possible to control what monsters spawn on different maps? like say i wanted zombies roaming around the cordon. I would also like to have a small chance of finding any weapon on any map.

Have you put the accuracy back to normal for this version(0.3)? I really like the vannila accuracy but also really like the other features of your mod

Does this affect any trade or just people like the barman and other "traders"?

Does this mean that we wont have to put up with insanely large bandit groups from now on? I hope so maybe even 3x smaller would be good.

edit: If you dont plan on changing the accuracy back to default can you tell us how to do it ourselves?

1) Please set the accuracy back to default (or at least make another version with all the other changes but default accuracy) <- everybody seems to want this

2) Why do corpses disappear faster? I mean, this isn't very realistic. What was your motivation to change this in the first place?

Thanks for your great work! Looking forward to your next version of your mod.
