Enabling disk file precedence for modding

You can turn on disk file precedence on by editing fsgame.ltx.

Open up fsgame.ltx in your root game directory, find:

$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata

Change that 'false' to 'true'.

Sorry for being maybe alittle noobish but what exactly does this do?

What does it help with or what does it make easier etc...?

It means you can mod files and have them in gamedata/ without having to move/rename/delete the actual gamedata.db* archives, the files in gamedata/ will be used before archive files.

It means you can extract files from the db* files into a gamedata folder and have your modded files take priority over the archived ones.

All in all I'm pretty impressed that Stalker is this moddable. When I first looked at the archives I thought we wern't going to get much from this one.
