!!! Mod Tool !!! [Download]

This tool will allow you to mod several game stats, mainly for weapons, by a factor you choose.

For example weapon:
Accuracy
Recoil
Damage
Ware
Clip Size
Fire Rate
etc

Before you start, please make sure you do not use extracted raw files and that you have an original (unmodified) gamedata.dba file in your installation directory.

It is .Net 2.0 based, so if you get an error on start, please download and install the .Net 2.0 Framework.

Does this affect NPC weapons as well, or just yours? BTW, if this works, I am forever in your debt. I'm beginning to get annoyed at this game damage and accuracy values.

Yes, it will also affect NPC weapons.
The AI doesn't aim very well though even when the weapon is accurate.
If you increase the weapon damage you also get hurt more by enemy weapons, tough you can counteract that with Actor Stats modifications.

Man, thanks a bunch for this! I set weapon damage to 2x and actor damage to 1/10. I'm not very good at shooters, and I hate having to use a trainer, so this will fix me. Once again, you rock!

Updated to version 2:

Added: item price factor (cost)
in the Weapon Stats category.

Same download link and file name but when you start it should say v2 on the top.

No, this is mainly for modding all existing stats at the same time. If you want to add new weapons (using the same models) you can do that by using the dbx extractor tool to exatrct all files and then add the appropriate entries in the appropriate files.

The main problem is that this requires adding to (expanding) the original files and since i am doing in place edits of these files, i can't easily expand them. On the plus side, it means that you don't have to extract all other files to get mods made with this tool to work.

Nice again ... I was also wondering if you can create a Editor for the Spawning portion since its in gobblish, and I wanted to SPAWN all the time new monsters/Bandits and so on because the game is so boringly easy even on Master level... ... I want hundreds of things to shoot on each map... Maybe no Spawn all the time but maybe a fix so I can choose the Delay before spawning... I want ALL monsters to spawn... If I start a new game I want even te Blood Suckers to go wild...he he... But I might have to make the main people invincible or else they will die fast...LOL...

Would i be able to change what the dealers sell? I hope so, because i want to make a mod which solves two problems; the problem of having no good special ammo (special 7.62, darts, etc) and also having too much money and nothing to buy. Hopefully with this i could make it that dealers later in the game sell really good ammo, but ill up the price significantly. Do you think this is feasable?

I wanted the better ammo, too. But i was not able to change the dealers inventory (yet). I found some values that should do that, but the game seems to ignore them. Therefore I chose a different approach and changed the ammo the enemies leave. I could kiss you. Thanks to this mod tool, I can now drop a guy from 50 yards away with 1 or 2 bursts from an SMG, and they drop relatively fast now. Also, I no longer die in 3 hits, so the game is MUCH easier for me, but still very possible to get killed if I'm not careful. This game is now 10x more fun. Thanks a million!

Maybe now I can tweak with the economy. Right now $1 USD is worth about 5 Hryvnia, but after the collapse of the Sarcophagus ingame in 2006 I'd imagine it'd be as bad as, if not far worse than, the Ruble(this could be why the Ukraine is using Russian currency).

Weapon prices can be researched and supplies estimated, and then add a little bit of tax because the Cordon checkpoint guards have to be bribed to get this stuff into the Zone.

What's Up With This?

Too bad prices on items you've flooded the trader with can't drop when he has a surplus...

[ERROR REPORT] There is an in this program where range and bullet speed are being adjusted. You try to adjust the range, but it adjusts the bullet speed. Then you adjust the bullet speed, again, in the next entry. Needs fixing.

Also, why did Norton automatically create rules for a new Windows32 Generic Host Process after I installed this? What kind of B.S. are you up to?

Mod Tool CRASHES

Gave weapon damage a value of 6 (4 times the default one of 1.5) and gave the actor a damage value of 0.25, one fourth of the default one, which I thought would mean it's balanced the way it was, though I'd be able to shot down enemies more. However, I was blown to shreads in a nanosecond with a sawed-off shotgun at range. Did I get something the other way around here?

Yeah, I'm finding that actor damage set at 0.1 is a bit too easy. I'm going to try 0.2, which should be twice as hard.

I also find that I can drop baddies pretty quickly with damage set to x2.

let me try and figure this out -
actor damage , when set to the default 0.1 means that the actor suffers 10% of the damage the NPCs do?
meaning - when an npc can withstand 1 shot i can withstand 10 of these shots?
is that what this factor is about?

meaning that if it's changed to 0.2 than the actor can be dropped in half the bullets cuz he sustains 20% of the actual damage of the bullet?

So... Any way to adjust enemy armor values? Especially the late game enemies.

The tool returns an error message when I enter the 1st value for actor damage, and I have to close the window (using v3). Any ideas?

You want the damages file, then. The config/creatures/ folder.

another thing that hsould be cleared out, raven -

if i press enter in every one of the mod's options than the game still changes, right?

what are the ORIGINAL values of the game? "1" for all?
how can i use the MOD tool u made to have everything back to normal but change only one perameter?

After i succesfully run this mod my weapons break/get jammed after one shot, I´v never changed the wepons wear/tear options, and iI´v tried different values for the wear/tear optins they still break after one shot.
What can I do? how do i get back to an unmodified file or something.
pl help.

I solved it my self, I made a copy of gamedata.dba.org and renamed it to gamedata.dba and replaced the modyfied gamedata.dba
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
