MOD making Stalker what Stalker should be

I post this ideas in another thread and now I am just thinking if these changes should developers accept for the official game, if they shouldn't I would like to made it in some mod.

Yes, Im trying to make a simular MOD like the one you wanted... I was thinking of making Respawns allot more Frequent, making NPC Not drop weapons so you have to buy them at the Trader and such... Making things alot more expensive...

Ive changed some things so far, but the Spawn file is crap, gibberish... ...
Not Text in the sense of editing... I could Hex it but thats no good, because I might want to change the size of groups and such...

AND if they DO release a Map Editor, then Im 100% going to build Maps...
Resident Evil style to Huge crazy Maps...he he...
Im already building Maps in Serious Sam 2... So dont know about the Stalker Map Editor... Hope they Release one, sooner than later...

I also like your idea's...

But i also want to see for example that weapons get damaged faster and that the player can buy weapon maintanance kits to repair his or her weapon.
Perhaps also some more regions to discover, which probably is possible because if you look at the map there are a lot of regions inaccesable for the player since they didn't make a map for it.
More weapons to be found or bought.
More types of weapon modifactions you can built on your weapon.
More different types of armour, now there are only 8 types of armour in the game, make it also possible to change colors of the armour so the player and the NPC stalkers look more differently.
Examples of armour i would like to see(kevlar long jacket, power armour(which uses the power cells you find for the railgun )
i hope some mod makers like the ideas we have in this thread

Thanks guys for your reply. I forgot the possibility to repair your weapons so I have updated the list by this

I agree that there should be more variations in armour... for the beginning some of them should have the same skin but they will vary in parameters... I have this idea in the list already

Dont worry about the Maps/Levels... Im going to create HUGE ones... Much bigger than these Ingame ...

Now as you can see I can build Houses and stuff in them ...
Im going to definitely build Houses and such with a huge City near by or something like it... ...
The possibilities are Endless, not to mention Alot of Weapon Packs and such ...

Hope I can get the bloody Map Editor before Christmas...LOL...

MORE Realistic, Not Less!

"What STALKER should be" is MORE realistic, not less.

NPC's that don't drop weapons? Where do the weapons go? They vanish into thin air?

Weapons that damage faster?! It's ALREADY ridiculous how much the AK's and MP5's jam! (Jamming is good, but let each weapon jam at a realistic ratio.)

I don't like your ideas. You obviously want to make the game more arcadish.

No, the weapons shouldnt Jam so much I think...
I dont want to remove the Jamming or weapons breakable...
They should be more harder to break or Jam...

Not like System Shock 2... There the weapons broke after 20 bullets...
Thats way to unrealistic...

Stalker needs Jamming less, and break ability to be less...

Now about the NPC dropping weapons, let them, but on a more lesser point...

You dont need to BUY anything, because you get everything for FREE, in Stashes and NPC Drop them as well... So why have Money ingame ???

When I play, NPCs are droping their weapons when I kill them... only some of them don't...

The money problem is what I have mentioned. At this point the money is really for nothing, so there are things that have to be changed.

NPCs always drop the guns unless they didn't equip it yet (like when they are unaware of you, sleeping, sitting down, etc). No need to make them *not drop it*, otherwise its less realistic.

Isnt jamming mostly related to the quality of the weapon?
