Ha its fine im not mad or anything but the more people know about the more people can find a solution in making it work with out sdk...

So we can help each other find solutions!

I found something else need in the game_levels.ltx

There seems to be test level code in there and seperate levels, but not in the level folder...

etc... this list goes on of different levels.

So what i did in game was ~` for the console and type help for the list of commands.

So then i find changelevel thing it goes "sv_changelevel level"

I put in "sv_changelevel ai_test" and my machine sped up like it was loading a level but i waited over 10 minutes and it still loading hoping that it would load but it never did and my pc calmed down and it was stuck at the console so its like frozen, and when you push Esc it just closes the game.

I guess thats because only the maps code and place location is there but not the map files itself!

And apon further looking i wanted to see something about weapons so i come to look at the knife and seems we can enable it for npc use (see screenshot) there is already a world animation and world model so it should work!

neh, devs seem sloppy no matter what. Valve had the same thing with HL2, a lot of beta crap still in the gcfs.

As for those maps, the folders with the terrain mesh etc no longer exist so.. no exploring weird test areas for us.

Note that gamedata.dba contains mostly duplicated files. You should extract gamedata.db0 and gamedata.db4 for the good stuff.

gamedata.dba's files have only nonimportant changes to the MP files (formatting differences, not value/content).

Which file(s) has the Spawn and what the Trader (shop) buys stuff for and sells them for... ??? I wanted to make the game much harder

I unpacked the DBA and saw the all.spawn file but its to mushed together to really understand it... I dont want to Hex edit it either, to much to change...

I want the Monsters and such to Respawn alot faster and alot more for massive shoot outs ...

Any ideas please ???

Try looking in the map specific scripts. That's where Call of Duty usually had them.

I found a couple of things using a hex editor on the gamedata.dba.

Change to increase inventory weight limit.

max_walk_weight = 60

-to-

max_walk_weight = 99


Change to increase players camera height.

camera_height_factor = 0.85

-to-

camera_height_factor = 0.95


After using the new DBA Unpacker on the gamedata.dba I found this info to be in the actor.ltx file.

what are you using to open the files like that?
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
