Thank you very much for your feedback

I think we can speak abut how to make STALKER even more real even before SDK is released. Also I have not played retail version yet (it will be released on 14.4. in my country ) but with such informations about actual gameplay we can propose things which could enhance our fun in zone.

About medikits and health system:

Magic instant medikits are very strange and unreal for me so here is a way how I would liek to change them.
1. Medikits works slowly and not instantly (so they are not very useful in firefight)
2. Using bandages/medikits/food take some time during which you cant shoot and you can move only slowly. This action can be interrupted (by you or by enemies)
3. You cant heal yourself to 100% in a field conditions. MAX health you can have after you were seriously wounded and after you applied medikit on yourself would be 70% (or similar). Only way to be again on 100% would be to visit zone doctors (like was "Butcher" in STALKER novel)- who would be able to heal you (after X hours and Y rubles spent). Those doctors would be stationed near merchants (in the first version).
4. Your accuracy, sprint abilities etc would be affected by your health state (I am not sure if is it so in retail version)
5. Bandages doesn't heal you - they only stops bleeding
6. Food doesn't heal you (I am not sure about vodka right now )

we need to remember that there is a reason vehicles where removed.
as far as i remember it was becase they occasiunally blocked paths from NPCs that didnt know how to andle them and more strage AI behavior accured cuz of vehicles. im not sure if bringing them back will be possible nor recommanded.

about all the medkits and health suggestions - they are graet but seem too comlex to just mod them in. it requires too much coding and i dont know if someone will be able to do that... (unless GSC decides to do that but if they had thought this was a good idea we would've seen it instalker already).

making the time it takes to heal and how much health each item gains should be easy as it is only playing with the values somewhere. this shouldnt be hard for a MODer.

i just think that if all projectiles cause 3 times the damage they do now it will be difficult enaugh to handle multiple enemies even with the health system as is.

I believe that it will be possible to mod a lot of things. Devs proclaimed that X-Ray is highly moddable so I believe that it will be possible to mod at least the similar features as are in Project reality in Battlefield 2 engine (which is not mod friendly).

To balance weapons will need a serious testing as it is a delicate matter and wrong settings can ruin whole game.

in rainbow six vegas u could find a file that you could open in notepad and just change the value of each weapons damage and accuracy. if this was done in stalker i would dig in and adjust stuff.
it takes a lot of time to balance this but it's fun.

i just dont think it's that easy in stalker.

can anyone confirm? has anyone found a way to change weapons stats?

We have to wait for SDK first I think, there are probably no text files we could change like it was in Doom3 or in many other games.
Stalker should be comparable with Morrowind in terms of modding probably.

We need the SDK asap.... I cant play the game with the current weapon damages they are just a joke. Its like the amount of ammo that gets wasted is insane and not only that but it makes stealth attacks impossible...

I just want to say I support a reality mod for stalker, good luck to anyone who starts up the project, and don't give up! Along with realism you could do a few changes to make the game better like altering respawns locations/times, aggresion, some other things.

One thing I would like to see is if I kill someone in silence and no one sees it, no one should be alerted. But currently if you kill someone, even if they don't see it they are alerted. AI could use some fixes in some spots too. Just hoping the game is as moddable as they say it is.
