Hey there GH.

Would love to know what files hide the Russian text that comes up in the loading screen and within some of the dialogue. I've translated all the text/gameplay/script files that have Russian (cyrillic) text .... unless I missed something.

My guess is that that must be in the db files of the Russian version of SoC. I tried this mod on retail SoC international patched to 1.0004 and it didn't work.

Look in the all the ui_st_XXXX.xml text files.

Note: This mod only works with 1.0006 patch, not 1.0004.

You can often find bits of onscreen text in script folder files aswell, especially bits for the map like transition points. I sometimes end up going through the scripts folder picking out files and then scanning them by eye looking for russian text to manually translate.

(2)Some of the stuff looks pretty bad and I have tried to make sense where I could ... not being versed in Russian at all.
(3)There are two script files related to news that I have translated but which crash the game (probably a muck-up by me ... I'll have another look). I have added a ".bad" extension so they don't replace the originals.
(4)There are some things in the dialogue and menus that are still in Russian ... I can't seem to find the source of these. If someone has an idea I'd love to know.
(5)The game is very memory intensive. Needs to be run using "-noprefetch" in the command line. I run this game on 64 bit Windows 7 (8Gb RAM) @ 1650x1080 but it still crashes at points .... log file refers to memory overun relating to ".ogg" files. I may have to try lower settings.

If anyone has ideas/fixes would love to know.

Hello @jager-sp-,

I need to relook at this. Will try to get back to you when I have a chance to explore. I also want to try it using international version of SoC patched to 1.0006.
