The main objective of this fashion, one based on the FreePlay Start, - to create the most lively virtual zone, the ability to dynamically grow, without any presets and scripted scenes that responds to the player's actions in real time. In fact - back one notorious A-Life, and the developers have promised to take it to the next level. Introduced in modifications Life system is unparalleled in any of the currently available projects. My goal was to make a unique fashion that is different from all the rest. Sinks into the soul, as the original game. Create the most free, independent and vital, realistic Zone. It does not have thousands sverhglobalnyh innovation, no new models of weapons, full of quests and locations. For a place they all already available in the game, licked with utmost thoroughness and is a smooth, comfortable combination - piece world, including solid gameplay, graphics and sound, with the possibility of an infinite wagering.

In terms of the free simulation, I really like Clear Sky, but still working on «Mystery», well I feel its a major drawback: to introduce a dynamic A-Life in Clear Sky, GSC created a system of company officer AI, rather than individual - for the mass, simplified himself the task. Cinematic looks, but more like some strategy with unit packs, like C & C Tiberium Wars, rather than on what we promised sometime in 2004. Now, imagine a gang war of ERs, but where every stalker is different, and not just his life at war, but also is looking for artifacts, hunting, exploring the zone, moving from location to location, and more. And in a certain condition, the very process of stalking, with him and all kinds befall alteration. A clan of stalkers much - and long, and Liberty, and the mercenaries and the military, and the Monolith - they basically fight each other while walking neutrals myself and E-Life is peaceful. About mutants and do not say - they have an entire food chain, bickering over territory, sleep, some awake at night ... mostly

IN CONCLUSION:

- Total freeplay
- Choose your faction, with different loadouts.
- All stuff is rebalanced
- Totally random spawns, you don't know what to expect
- Has a lot of similarities and additions from old builds
- Pretty much everything is different. You really don't know what to expect.

Comes with 2 versions! DESPAIR version is graphic-wise pretty much just like Misery mod for COP, and Oblivion Lost version totally captures the atmosphere of the old builds, it also has anomalies and sounds from builds too!

This one is worth a try. It scared me so much in Pripyat, I just turned the game off, literally... And you don't know what to expect at any moment, and WATCH OUT FOR THE DAMN GRANADES!

May not be needed in this case as the xr_motivator.script is commented removing reference to script version.

Ok, tried this out for a while, seems to work perfectly and seems quite interesting. Though not using the machine translation. I did however find so far (started out at Yantar as an scientist) that some descriptions are messed up. For example, the detectors have proper names (detector 1, detector 2 etc.), but their descriptions show only the info on a flashdrive.

I think this mod wouldn't require a huge amount of translating to get it into proper english, since it doesn't seem to have a huge amount of new dialog and such. Of course the news system is there and quest descriptions, but other than that, it seems pretty light on the text side.

Anyone working on this?

Best Zone experience in a long time.

Playing this mod, I feel like Tejas Stalker a year into the zone. The place is scary and unpredictable, mutants are deadly, the alife is very advanced and active. I literally felt terror even while standing on a high tower in the Wild Territory, equipped with an exoskeleton and a Vintar, a pack of dogs and a pseudo giant raging under my feet. anomalies are random and move around on their own etc... Essentially, its great fun.

Yip it is a very good mod I like the NPC roaming and taking territory the whole of the rookie camp was taking over by the military in my game also came across strelok's group ghost and fang alive and kicking for a change and some other familiar faces.

Yeah I LOL'ed when I had just finished chatting to ghost and fang in Wild Territory and then suddenly grenade meant for a bandit landed in the wrong place and killed them both....

Optional Changes Addon:

Done by the mod author not me, I just translated the folder's of the options and uploaded to mediafire.

Every change in a separate folder (installation optional)
- Guitar music for mercenaries
- Cartridges on the belt
- Detectors on the belt, not in your hand
- hardcore stuff (less ammo, artifacts etc)
- Added sounds to-eat foods, medicines and other
- Increased the prices of things by 2 times,
- Changed Weight to (40/50)
- A-Life is replaced by a normal (stalkers are sitting in camps as before)
- Added a "stalker relations mod" instead of the original system of relationships fashion:

1) Change the system of relations between groups of stalkers (monolith, bandits, military, etc.) to each other, which allows, under certain conditions to make the neutrals gang member or a friend,
2) Added a small change in the relationship groups when the ratio to any of its members,
3) added an amendment in respect of the reputation and rank of the actor and the character,
4), the possibility of getting a reputation for helping not only neutrals and friends, but also enemies,
5) Change the system's reputation.

EDIT - In the AP-RU page there was talk of the ammo on belt option causing crashes so you may want to leave that one out.

Did you change the localization.ltx to eng:

localization.ltx can be found in SHOC Dir, gamedata, config.

news translation up

I've translated the news scripts, so that everyone should have a fundamental understanding of what's going on in The Zone

I may clean this up further (i.e. make it more understandable), but at the moment it should be much more comprehensive than staring at Cyrillic letters (unless you, of course know Russian)

the file OFFLIFE_News_Translation_v1.rar is available in the mod downloads section/thread of this mod

post bugs, etc. in this thread and I'll try to reply asap

I have never had such crash and the mod is stable as can be if you are playing the oblivion lost version be sure to use the Mini-fix for Oblivion Lost version found in the second post of the mod downloads thread if you have not put that in then you will constantly crash.

There are two versions in the download despair and oblivion both worked perfect for me not sure why you would be crashing are you playing it with 1.0004 patch.

Minimalistic HUD for O.F.F.L.I.F.E. v.2 out now

just updated the Minimalistic HUD for this mod

now the only thing visible on your HUD is the ammo-type (without icon) and firing-mode (1 shot, 2 shot, 3 shot, automatic)

I have however left all the icons that pop up to inform you if you are bleeding/radiated/hungry/tired/etc. , so that you are still able to make these things out on the go

changes from earlier version is that I have now managed to completely remove the indicator that shows how many NPC's are in your vicinity, as well as removed the artifacts from the screen as well as the ammo-icon and I've also removed the PDA icon

another huge change is that I have removed the reticule of the binoculars, hence now you need to look closely through the binoculars in order to spot creatures/NPC's and determine whether they are hostile or not

it's available in the mod downloads section of this mod

report any bugs, etc. here

Anyway I just stumbled upon something cool in garbage...as I was stalking, not on the road, I saw my screen turning white and next thing loading screen and I am at red forest...(?) Maybe a travel anomaly?? The bad thing is that I am still with my shotgun and novice stalker outfit

there seem to be a couple of those around and they also seem to shift position, both in terms of from where they originate, as well as to where they'll send you

I was in the middle of slaughtering the military by Rookie village, when all of the sudden I was teleported to Yantar

be warned, however - I am quite certain that NPC's and creatures can teleport too

I understand that, but as my copy is patched 1.0005 and there was a patch fix. I assumed it wouldn't be so horrendously unstable.

I tested it in 1.0005 without problems with the "patch fix" and it was pretty stable.

My "UNOFFICIAL compatibility patch" doesn't fix any KIND OF WAYPOINT BUG it just make the mod to be possible to be used in 1.0005

Yes, I´m patched to 04, and of course it is possible that there are some flaws that never will be fixed, maybe there are not so many playing this mod.
just waiting for next patch for Stalkersoup and of course LA.

its with the oblivion version.

trying the despair version, seems to work ok so far.

Hello fellow Stalkers,
I'd love to play this mod, but it always crashes with an Engine Error when I start the game...
I used a clean install of Stalker, patched it with the 4th patch and copied the gamedata folder from the despair folder in the main stalker folder.
Did I miss something?

Hello fellow Stalkers

So I've been playing this mod for a while and I enjoy it very much. But I would like to solve a problem of crashing every time a controller is around. I installed everything correctly including the mini fix for Oblivion Lost version which I play. This is the error log:

My understanding is that game crashes because of controllers animations while being attacked by other mutants or npcs. So is there any way to solve this? Perhaps stop them from spawning or kill them with some command. There is a solution of killing them before they crash the game but it is a bitch to find them sometimes and the annoying psy effects start when he is still quite far away, so that makes it a bad solution. Can I write something in command line to kill them or edit some ltx file to stop them from spawning which I would even prefer.

And also a matter that isn't so important. Bloodsuckers have a massive amount of health which makes it completely unrealistic. Where can I reduce that amount of health to let us say normal but still quite resistant as in vanilla game?
