I know I am making Thread Necromancy but I did a little small statement in Mod DB and in the Facebook page of CSFM and then I have to post it here too so here it is in Quotation form:

An Issue

I'm using the new ( beta ) patch along with version 2.4.2 and I keep getting multiple crashes in the Garbage, that were mostly around the hangar where Seiry is. I had to fail talking to ( and helping / saving him just to move on to the next objective - the bandits quickly got him ). I had no issues again until when my inventory was near full, so I decided to return through the Garbage and back to the Cordon to sell / store my items and ammo.

Now, I've had a few coming from Agroprom to the Garbage, and when trying to pass the Grimpen Mire area. I've made backups of my saves, and know that they aren't corrupted, I just can't progress now.

Overall I'm enjoying this mod, and the continued updates are appreciated. All of these crashes have been empty logs, and when referring to the supplied 'Known and Possible CTD & Bugs List' file, I see that it might be related to the Faction Wars across the levels.

I'm using the 1.0005 patch and only the supplied ( optional ) following mods :

* In Game CC and Subtitles
* Less Rain & Storm weather
* Photorealistic Creatures
* Russian Voices
* Smart Marauder Mod

The last of those is supposed to give you a chance I believe of relieving an NPC of his armor occasionally, though this has not yet happened after killing and / or looting probably five-hundred or so of them.

Also, I have not installed the Total Faction Wars add-on, though the Cordon alone has seen Duty, Freedom and Mercs, with a few Monolithians at the Garbage.

Perhaps some of these are now incompatible? I get a stutter every now and then, though I attribute that to spawns of mutants or humans.

Again, thanks for the continued updates and progress reports you post, xRatx. I felt that maybe some of this could be helpful, hence the long post.

Hello Seeker_of_Strelok,
I am aware of that problem with Garbage, so far I don't have any real fix nor a cause for it but I you can try to do this :

Go to alife.ltx
set switch_distance = 1
Go back to game and try to go to the desired place or level
save
return to alife.ltx
and return to it's default vaule (150m)

I didn't updated the optionals from 2.4.2 to be compatible with patch#1 beta but I can upload a compressed folder with updated Optionals. I have changed a few files that optionals mods uses so that's might explain some bugs with the Smart Marauder Mod.

Monolith in garbage... hum! Perhaps a blowout happened and spawned those Monolithers (One of the spawns presets I used has Monolithers spawning after the blowout). The others two factions, Mercs and Freedom, are able to go to there.

Is there a way to remove blowouts because it crashes everytime one goes off?

I've added a option to turn it off & on

Go to gamedata\scripts, open csfm_config.script and change the true to false

-- Dexxx's Blowout Mod
-- Default : True
blowout_use = true

to blowout_use = false
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
