Umm, why no updates in more then a month?

I know that developers are busy because of the different game conventions, but hey, a update on a site is not all that long or difficult...

maybe the contest was dropped because of the useless public-voting system?

Well, it depends on what you are updating. These devs are updating their sites to upload the stories, but they also had a life of their own, so you cannot expect them to do according to what you guys want.

Stalker is sill in Alpha-stage from what I have heard; that's why the devs would not be updating their site as frequently as they used to be. You guys might be complaining, but decide what is important: having frequent update, or a Damn Good STALKER game? I decide on the latter ( just like the Devs, though the former is as important.

LOL are you serious? Do you know how easy make an update to a site is? Do you really think that an update made from a computer programmer like the team of developers is, can take so much time, or as you said , enough time to cut off his social life or damage the game development? GEEZ...Are you really serious?

Funniest thing i have ever read, lol.In fact they used to update the site every two weeks when the game was on pre-alpha (that means more work than now)....

Btw, it's because is more than a month that noone update that i was worried that they dropped the contest, as i didn't recieve any reply email from the site, or maybe there was some problems...

I find that fan sites are usually much more informative anyways. If you are lusty for a site that's updated more frequently, check out www.oblivion-lost.com

Ok, if by what you meant, I think something like this will entertain you.
30/8/03: No update for the day, please chack for another 3 days or more again.

Just a joke. Actually like you, Mr. Arthur, I had sent in my entry for the contest too. The Devs said that when they have decide to vut the contest, they will imform us via update. don't you worry about that, sport. And when Koan inform you that he is going to update the site soon, his word is as good as gold. It will be tomorrow (friday), my friend. Last time my previous story was posted on a Friday. Wait and see.

About the history before the pre-apha version... well, before that, they don't have a exact deadline to meet, that was WAYYYYY before they had signed with THQ. Now, everything is different. Too bad, man, too bad. The bottom line: they had a deadline to meet, so they are in a hurry.

And about the Devs social life and stuff... they are paid to work on the game, not to update the site. Hell, if you compared the site to those by EA Games or other, I don;t think they had frequent updates as this one.

Just my take on things, though.

Thanks for posting!

Finally some news...at least it seems that we have some offcial news, and they confirm about the fact that the contest is still alive. But what about the problems about the rating system and the moderations on the comments made to the stories?

Please, take a look at those problems too
