Weapon shot effects.

Hello guys, there are some mods that contains special weapon shot effects. Like when you shooting, your cursor shakes a lot more than with default settings. I seen this feature in Misery 1.0. So the question, how do I make that shaking effect for a weapon? Is there any mods like that ?

I believe Misery uses a modified version of the RX "Shoot effect" script. This is used in mods like stalkersoup etc that adds camera effects to different weapons etc.

It should be fairly easy to pull from larger mods, as I believe Rulix's scripts were sort of designed to be modular anyway, and I haven't been able to find it anywhere separately.

I've hopefully created a self-contained version of the script here:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5847454/Shoot%20Effects.7z

Read the readme, as it says how to configure it and how to install it (via an update callback)

Thanks, it was exactly what I was searching for. By the way, can you please translate these lines? Mine notepad shows only hieroglyphs, so I can't edit effects by myself.

Here's the best I can come up with;

;[shoot_effect_base] ; форма
strength		= 1 ; recoil force (1 to 5)
strength_rnd	= 0 ; Random (1), In order (0),  Random after first shot (2)

; Integral part - Intensity, fractional(? could mean direction) - randomly (if intensity > 4)
0	= 0.0,0	; rightward shift (0) leftward shift (1)
1	= 0.0,0	; upward shift (0) downward shift (1)
2	= 0.0,0	; shift forward (0) shift back (1)
3	= 0.0,0	; turn right (0) turn left (1)
4	= 0.0,0	; downward slope (1) upward slope (0)
5	= 0.0,0	; lean to left (1) lean to right (0)

; Custom animation
fusker		= 0.0,anm

; Post-processing
black		= 0.0,ppe
blur		= 0.0,ppe
grey		= 0.0,ppe
duality_h	= 0.0,ppe
duality_v	= 0.0,ppe
fire_hit	= 0.0,ppe

Not hugely helpful, I'm guessing the shifts listed above are the "recoil effects" and you can either program them to have a specific recoil pattern (which some weapons have) or set them to be sort of random.

I'm guessing trial and error would be the best bet unless someone comes up with a better translation
