Thanks, I'm glad I captured his essence like I was trying to.

As for your question, you'll find out soon... once Virtue has had time to sleep on it and let the shock and rage subside.

This story is off the chain, that yesterday when I watched the new trailer for the Halflife 2 Mod, Black-Mesa, and after I read this last night... I had this crazy ass dream that I was actually Reaper in the zone, and I met Virtue, Nimbus and Enigma.

This is how I imagined them: Virtue just looked like a sad mal nourised guy in a Stalker suit.

Nimbus had a very friendly, but scared up, face. Also in a stalker suit.

Enigma, i actually imagined with shoulder length brown hair, kinda like Jill Valentine in Resident Evil Remake for game cube. She was wearing a SEVA siut that was the same blue as merc gear.

We were in yantar prtectng the bunker, and I was on the roof shooting the bad guys which were zombies adn Hound eyes from Half life...

It was weird.

Keep up the good work though!!!!

HL2 - and all readers

That's awesome - you gotta love those random, vivid dreams.

I generally don't dream much about Stalker, oddly enough - but I do dream about awesome scenarios that could be translated into story elements or video games.

I know this idea is going to get jacked as soon as I say it (oh well) but I keep having this recurring dream about a game in which you play as an expert thief. You basically just go around and steal EVERYTHING you can find, including wallets with cash and credit cards, as well as ID so you can forge things like security clearance to get into places where you can steal even more things.

Think Oblivion or Fallout 3 where you can loot just about everything, but some of the items serve no purpose - except in my dream, all of the items had the potential to be used in Macgyver-like contraptions to break locks, hack security doors, and a plethora of other things.

I remember in the last part of my dream, I managed to jack a pistol from some important-looking guy and decided to head to a bank to see what I could get away with. While riding in the elevator, it opened up into an underground mall of all places. I think the excitement of all the potential things to steal was what woke me, because I didn't get anything after that - I just woke up in a good mood.

Anyway... since I'm WAY off topic now...

@Readers: What do you think about the site http://www.randombs.net/thezone ? Is the formatting OK? How about the text size/color?

Also, remember that it's your input that keeps the story alive, so please keep posting your thoughts and suggestions for the story!

Wow. If there was any one word to describe this one, it would be heart-wrenching.
Or two words. Whatever.

Anyways, I love the site. In fact it is inspiring me to do something similar for a class project.

To the center...

I've started writing the next part of the story and should have some good time with which to write it in (since I landed a job and can stop looking - woo).

So where's all the comments from the people who have been dying to read the next part?! The thread feels colder than a night out in Yantar (as Virtue would know).

Anyway, back to writing. Thanks for all of you who have left comments already, they are always appreciated.

Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
