When you aim with a scope u should have the breathing tech inplanted in the game "Like in Splinter Cell" or have it like a thing to train up at your dealer... You hold down space key, and you can hold your breathing for a moment for really accurated shoot... But you can't do it too much eighter, it has limits too... If you hold you breathing to long or to often in some period of time. You will be dizzy instead and aim even more bad... If you doing this even more over the limit you will pass out and tripping on the ground for some time... And this should be inplanted in the meterbar for how exhusted your character is of running... So if you running much before you start to sniping, you can't use this skill much... Becurse you are exhusted of all running...

Hey, that story was historic. Gandalf the White went on to invent the electric light-bulb, the french press, and a new pasturization process for cheese. Don't be fron'in' on the cheese-man, biotch.
---END QUOTATION---

And Gimle created his own line of men's hair care products.

Oh, and as for "Most Realistic FPS," IMHO it's "Battlefield 2: Special Forces."

I don't know if much has changed since last time I saw Battlefield 2, but it's certainly not realistic.
---END QUOTATION---

BF2 realistic? Lol. Those Lord of the Rings games must be pretty realistic aswell

There are FAR worse things than fallout to be compared with, that's for
sure.
---END QUOTATION---

I'm a huge fallout fan, so to be compared with one of my favorite RPGs is a compliment. ^^; But really, the looting idea would be helpful. I mean, you could scrounge ammo, cash, maybe even an enemy radio to find out what they're up to.

The Many Ideas of Omikias

I beleve what M-Totenkopf ment by useing CS as an example is damgae ratio's and realistic snipeing; not the fact that CS is "real." M-Totenkopf was quite true to fact that a 7.62 would do less "damage" (as in flesh wounding) compared to the 5.56 NATO. Also, snipers can't always have perfect accuracy unless they've got specialized equipment such as a counter-weight sling and/or a bi/tri-pod.
=====================================
As for Mercury 's idea of being able to just in-generally screw around, I like that. Games really are too damn short. The "longest" game I've played in recent years was GTA: San Andreas only because there was so much to do other than the main jobs. That's what made it fun. It's my opinion it would be interesting if a small group of stalkers thought it'd make a great idea to hold a race through the Zone or something similer. Marksmanship Contest mehbe?
======================================
Wondervirus, great idea on looting. I hope to God that Stalker doesnt turn to an MMO.
======================================
Shefa also has a decent point on the Stalker Economics. Reminds me really of "Fallout 1" for Win. 95. And yes, I really am that damn old. Anyways, you could take it in several directions. Maybe you got your own "locker" in your Clan Base that you can store spare bullets, coin, and maybe the occasional keycard or something. Maybe "the Dealer" acts as the First National Bank of The Zone? Who knows?
======================================
And finally for my own gorram ideas. It'd be kinda cool to have a trophy system. Say, you encounter a fairly well-sized pack of officers from a rival clan and you just so happen to have the advantage of both surprise and firepower. Well, of course you obliterate them, but wouldn't it be kinda nifty to take a little trophy from them? Like take out your knife and cut off their rank patches or steal their gas-mask? Hell, take their gun too! It'd (once again) remind me of Fallout where the best way to get guns is to salvage/steal them from the enemy.

Oh, and as for "Most Realistic FPS," IMHO it's "Battlefield 2: Special Forces."

I think CS is not realistic in any way. The only realistic with CS is that you can't respawn if you been shot down. The most realistic FPS i have played is still "Joint Operations - Typhoon Rising". Weapon damages are realistic, leaning is realistic, rolling on the ground is realistic, jump down to take cover is realistic, iron sights are realistic, scopes are realistic, huge outdoor action, sniping with cal50 from 1500m and bullet speed and falling is realistic... The only thing that is not realistic with that the game is still, that you can always respawn...
---END QUOTATION---

try opertion flashpoint......there you can save once per mission, but if you don't want and keep it realistic............

also sometimes there are some auto-checkpoints, but only few.

IMO it is the most realistic game I have ever played. Also I like
Hidden & Dangerous 1.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and some note:

sniping with 50cal on 1500m is not very common, but still it's real.
