I hope not either, theres only so far you can go with games & realism.

Im sure everyone finds it fun to trip over in real life as well

I was just sent a personal email by Oleg stating that they are working feverishly to include this feature. He says that the game engine itself was not designed to include such events, but his team is working feverishly to hack in a few condition and probability scripts for it. From there they will put in the necessary motion capture. They expect to be working on this into early 2007, but personally, I think it is worth the wait!

Yeah, he came home to me on a bicykle and mentioned that they will also include a turn-based action system, wich will make it more intense and tactical. Also, sometimes the player will suffer from temporarly blindness and confusion wich will disturb the aim. It wasn't meant to be included, but during coding someone managed to slip.

I think this is an awesome idea!!! It would definantly add to the fear factor in several ways. The coolest factor would have to be for example:

You are walking down from a wooded hillside into an abandoned village to look for food. It is freshly dark outside and the only thing helping you to see is your flashlight. You open a door into a rickety old shack and you see the most horrible creature ever! You turn around and start sprinting (lets assume you can sprint in the game), with the monster just feet behind you, roaring at your heels, when you hit a patch of wet mud. Your feet slip and you see your avatars hands go up (as a reflex) and he hits the ground. You press the stand button and continue to run as fast as you can. You reach the woods, just in time. You lost the monster.

You were lucky....this time

If anything, I'd say it'd be a good....I dunno, a mod from someone? I dunno. I wouldn't mind the tripping thing, it'd probably make me think more about my surroundings. Oh, how entertaining traps could get with such a thing though....
