thanks but Sido don't sell torch, I hope in another merchant... Is this game playable until the end of is heavily bugged?

Only crashes that i had are in east Pripyat
- Particle PAPI (something like that)
I have detected no bugs at all.

Flashlight:
Save in front of Sid, see if he has a flashlight...if not, reload and see again, ....repeat....also, you can by a lot of ammo like this as all trader inventories get reseted after reloading.

I am making something special of this mod...almost done.

Completely redone:
- artifacts
- weapons and weapon slots
- some sounds, like silent night-vision
- all mutants
- all humans
- all suits
- some traders (some get bugged after editing)

and most important -
- switch_distance
- healing
- radiation
- bleeding
- weight
- stamina

= Corrected mac10 as it had ridiculous damage of:
hit_power = 50
hit_impulse = 140

-example-
RPG7 has dmg of 10/450 and most rifles from 0.4/40 to 1.1/70

I will post it here if it is allowed in several days after i start New game and see if everything works.
No -New game- needed but is strongly suggested as some of the underground installations are totally different experience (like X-18)
And there is a strong factor of Luck from the start, especially in finding artifacts.....
This will be hard-core tweak so it will bring you a lot of frustration and is not for everybody

- - Question - -

Can i take Text files on Russian (that are already in game folder) and directly in them make an edit in English...will they work if merged with existing translation on MDB ?
Or i would have to make some sort of script for it to work ?

Because i would like to do descriptions for artifacts, suits, mutants, factions because they are very different from the original...
And 1 more thing....can those descriptions be 18+ (will they be removed from here if presented with strong language) ?

Functional laser pointer

There is a pistol function option which can be assigned to a key, but even after attching laser pointer and designated key press nothing happens. Any one have idea ?

I already reassigned the key to K. But still not working. Is it have some connection with rendering.

For me the acog and already scope mounted weps are having lenses out of order and when tried dynamic lighting on objects it became normal. I just used option since I was unable to go to collective farm. and found out that its just saves lenses problem.

Ok, here we go

First i have to say few words to user PressurE.

I suspected that word "cheater" caused your respond, but....
I am an older guy that runs one CS 1.6 server in Serbia for about 10 years and word cheater is to mi like "hello"...we are to them what Liam Neeson is to terrorists
It is a common word that i use every day and i had no idea that it will provoke someone and in the same time make me look bad so i have to apologize and defend my honor....honor is "my precious"
So, i created an apology in form of a tweak for NA 5.1

For fun of it, let me call it "PressurE cooker 0.84a" because our pressure will make us explode while playing

Let us begin:

- Tweak is not for everyone and expect a lot of frustration
- I am no moder and i used knowledge that i gathered from 2007 till now
- This mod is very moder-unfriendly and had many mistakes, plus some things don't work as they were intended
- Corrected some mistakes, but made some also (most are fixed)
- If some moders look at these files they will notice many wrongdoings, but it all works and mod is much harder

Short details:

- General -
- switch_distanc upped from 150 to 200
In this way some places get more active and you can see camps of dogs attacking other camps and you don't activate them 1 by 1.
Makes things more interesting and unpredictable.

- silent night vision

- actor -
No more cyborg,...just an average guy that came to zone in search for himself
- Lower speed
- 7 belt slots
- max carry weight 25 (don't vory, it gets better)
- max walk weight 60
- stamina is something you should keep like it is last thing on earth so, don't be overweight

- Food and healing -
I planed to make this to be a big difference but mod doesnt alowe it even if all is set correctly.
Food should remove drunknes but it doesnt...only e. drink removes it as default.So i did some other changes
- healing and eating are surprise...here, have some bread, it tastes just like.....sand and hair....
- Test it a bit on some safe place

- HUD -
- Only friends can be seen on mini-map
- no bleed/radiation warning icons

- Weapons and ammo -
- all weapons go in to the more convenient slot
- reduced number off bullets per package from 50 to 6,8,10,20,25,30....
- redone weight of ammo
- some ammo prices
- Zone is full of weapons and they are at low demand so they are almost all under 10.000r
- heavy machineguns are more powerful, but no sprinting
- all weapons have different damage and stopping power
- revolvers are much more useful and should work like in the movies
- some "two slot" ammo cut in half...it looks silly at first glance but you will won't mind about that as you will be busy dying
- some more things i can't even remember

- Suits -
- all resistances reworked
- heavy armor depletes stamina much faster...
- Monolit armor doesn't heal, deplete radiation or stamina any more
- more suits have night vision...even bandit long coats
- If suit has good fire protection but low bullet protection, fire will damage it much less while bullets will shred it like paper, so, reworked durability
- ....

- artifacts -
Now this was a big problem as add_speed and add_weight don't work as they planed
I first wanted to make them so they main negative side are stamina and hunger...guess what...hunger on artifacts also doesn't work.
Reworked them 4 times and in the end i had to simplify them.
Also, i think there is a max limit for player....could be changed in m_stalker - max speed (perhaps)
IMPORTANT
When attaching them to belt be sure that you put fastest one LAST as the game responds only to last attached item and they are not cumulative,...which was a huge disappointment.

As an average guy in the zone you don't know much about artifacts and will have to test them for speed/weight
Don't want to spoil it...

- Traders -
Now this was an hell on Earth and it still is, so if you see trader that acts strange and has no working animation just return default trader from your backup (you do have a backup, stalker, don't you ?)

- Sid is more-less unchanged in what he sells as he brakes the game if changed
- Barmen buys only one thing
- much more difference if you join the faction (should be)
- no power armors for sale
...enough spoilers....

- mutants and humans -
- all reworked
- humans have more HP, are more alert, see further, from some you can't hide in bushes
- this time you are afraid of ghosts
- some effectors stopped working for no reason - like bloodsucker bite, but no matter as they are stronger and faster
- word giant is not to be taken likely
- What is that in the sky...a plane, a bird....oh, it's a snork
- enough spoilers

- quests -
- all quest rewards redone so you will no longer get a bottle of Vodka for duying 20 times on some hard quest
- more money
- much less reputation
- ....

- Installation -

1. New game
- Rename your gamedtata folder or remove it somewhere
- drop this gamedata in your game root folder
- play (tested on Mortal difficulty)

2. No new game
- Load desired save and remove all equipment from belt, wpn slots, etc to your inventory or 2-3 crates...everything
- save like that (you will not be able to move probably) Try to be on the map without traders
- install the tweak as described in part 1
- Load game and check what is changed about equipment before putting it on

Known bugs:
- artifacts don't work as intended (described above)
- some traders can cause crashes if saved near them both in my tweak and default game
If you dont like them or they crash game you can return default ones
- Crosshair disappear after changing level, loading...to make it appear again just hit ESC 2 times
- DON'T USE "Truck" mod for power armors - if you pressed that button by accident - reload game.
It causes irreversible bugs with max weight when combined with artifacts or you remove it or change armor while it is activated.
This should be tested some more, but i think that is mods fault same as artifacts.
Check periodically when changing equipment and if when everything is removed your carry weight isn't 25 then bug has started to happen and it will get worse.

Normal monitor zoom / static light support / those two combined - files come with mod but i dont know if you have translation for Optional Readme so i separated them for easy use for those with normal monitors or are playing on static light.
With static light support i think there are no graphic crashes.

Also i forgot to mention that artifacts for speed lose their ability until you remove and put them on again.
And now sooting with silencer does less damage and has less stopping power but has 15% more range

Wow your way out there lol, you actually use the word cheater everyday? The mod looks interesting and there is another tweak you can can try by editing this line in the "new_arsenal.ltx" :

; Enable / disable GG recognition by combo. On the complexity of "Master" does not work.
armor_alliance = false

Crappy translation but it means your faction is determined by what armor you wear effectively limiting what armor you can use during your play-through. Nothing like picking up a Merc suit in cordon playing as a loner an getting gunned down. Now that would be a fun optional addon to your mod...well our mod.... cause its named after me
