Indeed - final map is huge! In fact my relations with the mils was reset upon entering Pripyat (to facilitate that mission fork). I just let their assault team die to the monoliths and went on my merry way - so I'm still neutral with them. Perhaps I could take their mission [at CNPP] and then double cross them? That seems quite Bandity. Did not know of that hole, perhaps it will assist me  Also quite curious to see how those Monolith BMPs react to me.
Either way i'll report my findings in picture form  .
