I've been quiet a) because I'm trying to get on with my own story and b) because I don't have much to add.
The introduction of Doomsday and his group was interesting, but then it has all been, from the 'fleshing out' of the Monolith soldiers to the tension between Duty and Freedom (and their ongoing plans and agendas even in the face of a shared enemy/problem).
One thing that did seem a bit far-fetched (or 'Hollywood-ized') was the escape from the zombies...but it also provided a lighter 'episode' with some comic relief, so overall it was no bad thing. Have to say Enigma is doing very well for someone who was at least halfway to being dead, though.

As for other stuff...it's not for me to tell you the direction your story *should* take. I'm along for the ride and will go where thou willst, so to speak. But you also have hints above regarding what I liked and what I found less interesting (not the right word, but my brain's not working well this morning. It's what happens when the cat decides to up-end the Chrimbo tree at four a.m.).
What do I think will happen? Well, there'll be deaths of favourite, but not exactly central, characters (or the way you've set it up, perhaps even central characters can 'buy the farm'); many more scrapes; a lot more tension between the factions; and a resolution where the Russian commander either mutates or is killed by mutants...or perhaps where he is mutating and is killed by mutants for being 'too human'.

Well I for one am enjoying it, though I do agree with Snorkbait on the zombie escape, maybe the truce between Duty and Freedom may make for some exciting new good guys and alliances, maybe new factions, now that Zone is upside down it's yours to manipulate anyway you wish, maybe a geust appearance from Strelok or Scar.

Great writing! I had stumbled upon your original, The Zone I and found it so engrossing I read it all in one shot(yea I'm kinda late to the party heh). This one is shaping up to be just as good so I hope you continue. Looking forward to a hopeful reunion of Virtue and company and seeing if/how they can thwart Petrov.
I've read quite a few AARs and the like based on various games, but have seen very few as well written. Keep up the great work

BOOM! There's the motivation I needed. Thanks a lot man, and you're never late to the party.

The next part should be posted soon, either right before or after Christmas. So if you get sick of holiday cheer rest assured there will be morbid, bloody chaos to put you right back in that sick, demented mood that can be so delicious. >

I'm glad to hear you'll be continuing. Your earlier post had me worried that you might give it up so I went to register just so I could post. Turns out i had already registered a little while back lol. Just hadn't had the need to post till now.

Not many people I know play this game even though I rave about it, but I believe they will enjoy your writing. You'll probably end up with a few fans that don't even play the game
