Question about texture editing.

Hello guys, I using this desert eagle mesh for my game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZKZf6wJTco But it contains custom hand texture which called v_hand_sheet.dds, so my question is how can I edit the mesh that it could use default act_arm_perchatka texture?

not 100% but HEX Editor, you can open the mesh and look at the texture lines inside that it associates it self with and edit them

Nah, HEX editor just changes the name of texture, If I make it use act_arm_perchatka, the gloves for Marked One becomes really stretch as it is wrong texture.

In CS and CoP all the arms are stored separately, hence there can be different ones for different suits and so on, but in SoC every HUD model has its very own arms and animations. Your question is about models, not textures, and there's no way to go about it by just changing a couple lines here or there. You would have to open up the model, delete the arms, move in the ones you want, and rebuild the animations accordingly.
In other words, decidedly non-trivial.

There are 2 most common hand models in Stalker series: SOC type with deafult 512x512 texture and CS\COP type with 2048x1024 texture. SOC type is definitely worse than CS\COP type. But many different skins are available for both type of models. Just check what hands model is used in your Deagle and search for skin that suits you the best. When you will have the skin and want to assign it only to Deagle, you can use hex editor (or simply notepad++) to change the name of skin in deagle hud model.
