Prey of one, Predator of another - finale

Prey of one, predator of another
Part VI- Revelation,
Andriylvsky Spursk was a busy place to be. The road that led down to there, Vozdvizhenskaya Street, was jam-packed with people from the middle-to-poor class trying to get trade. The heat from the 9.00 a.m sun and the crowd could make one felt ill soon enough. But what really explained the crowd on this fine Tuesday morning was that tomorrow was national day. Most shops would be close, so the citizen of Kiev strived to get the stuff ready for a great feast in their house the next day.
Like most open-air markets, it was also the best place to look for best flowers at the cheapest price. That was why Major Boris Zhukovsky was along side with his fianc

Hi Amoki, sorry I haven't commented on your other parts of the story but I've been dealing with some stuff in my personal life atm, and have lacked the motivation or energy to do much else.

Teacher? Heh, no. I don't actually have a job atm, I want to make it as a novelist but in the meantime I'm on benefits and off work due to clinical depression ( let's just say University wasn't everything I hoped it would be, and things just went downhill from there ).

None of that may sound very inspiring, but in my experience the vast majority of people who choose to write are uncomfortable in their lives to some degree, they write because they want to understand life, and why would you need to understand life when you're popular, wealthy, handsome or confident? ( Might be a bit of an over-generalisation, but in my experience that's the way it goes).

I'm sorry to hear you're leaving the forum for good, I hope it wasn't anything to do with the lack of comments on your work. I don't say this to slight you in any way, but you do produce a lot of work, and asking people to read through that much then constructivly comment can be quite a demand ( your work has improved immensely since I first started reading it, so as I said don't consider the lack of comments to be a slight on your writing as a whole....but rather the sort of mindset that people get into when they browse the internet - they can afford to be a little bit lazy and selfish because there are seldom any consequences, I know I am often am).

If you really are heading off for good then I can only wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to do in your life. Even if you decide not to consider writing as an eventual career, I urge you to keep doing it in your spare time and reading as many books as you can, you have nothing to lose and potentially a hell of a lot to gain.

Well first of all, the only mysterious thing concerning me is the month old chinese food in the back of my refridgerator. All I can say is it isn't chinese food anymore, and I could have sworn that it looked at me the other day, but it might have been my imagination.

I'm a mechanical contractor Amoki. I bid on, and then organize various construction and renovation projects in the area where I live. Writing has always been a hobby for me. Like Ian, I'd like to turn it into a full time job. We'll see what the future holds though. Sorry to hear you are leaving the forum. Good luck in whatever you do.

Look, you guys are sounding that I am going to be in the wooden box in a funeral instead of heading off to study. I will check the forum once in a while, but I am very, very quiet even though.

Take it easy Amoki, have a good one in New Zealand. It is a beautiful country, and may writing always be with you.
