Awesome Game !! Only 1 Fix Needed

Let me start off by saying that this game is by far the best FPS/RPG game I ever played and laid my eyes upon.

I'm an avid FPS online gamer and have been a fan of the genre since the birth of it, (yes I'm that old, Atari 2600 or pong anyone?, lol).

STALKER has not only captured me with it's rich and involving gameplay but also it's beautiful graphics, story line, interactions with NPC's and realism, simply amazing.

Ok so now that I established what a masterpiece that STALKER is let me give the first fix needed.

FIX: Loading times, this is the only problem I have seen so far. I'm not gonna list my system specs because I know they meet the minimum requirements let alone surpass them.

Loading the game from start is normal but it's when you transcend the environment or go to a new level in the Zone where I noticed the long load times. It's not a real big issue nor that much of a problem to me.

Other thing I noticed someone saying in another thread that the weapons especially the pistol were not accurate. This is completely untrue and if anyone read up and did the research correctly on the game they would of known that this was a game built upon realism.

Weapons will jam, different firing modes have different effects especially on accuracy. The pistol that you start off with is generic, i.e. RPG anyone?

However I did fine with it crouching and firing at my opponents. Also enemies don't just stand still they move while firing at you or to duct from your firing.

This game rocks plain and simple and the devs talent definately shines in their creation, bravo to them.

Well not going to flame you here but your grammar is God awful. I had to decipher what you were saying there.

Correction it can be fixed it has nothing to do with what you listed although that might help a little it still won't fix the general issue. A patch addressing the loading times is very POSSIBLE.

each zone is active even if you are not in it
all corpses remain there together with theyr loot
all items / weapons / pices from broken objects during fights stay there.

I find the loading times to be quite ok for such IMENSE detail.

And how do you work that out?

If the zone was "active" as you state, then it wouldn't need a loading time. just a sudden "jump" as if you went through a portal

Just because all the items and weapons are there, does not constitute an "active" world.

If you watch when you change from one zone to another. first the game saves all items in the zone to your save slot. then once its done that, it loads the save. All info regarding Items and weapons are added to a list within the save (IE area / location / status) . and when it comes to load the new area, it checks what area you are entering with the list. and loads the items accordingly.

Please don't try and feed crap to people when you obviously do not have a clue.

Loading in less than a minute for me. That's for a fresh start and even quicker on saves. Why won't you post your specs? It's not like someone asked to see pictures of your girlfriend or something.

Well, it is safe to say no reasonably large part of the game is perfect. Anything can be improved. It is a matter of priorities.

Please Release Dedicated Server Files so we can enjoy the full game hosted on "real" servers. I hope that is high on the priority list.

Thank you,

Actually, the load times are the real-time-rendering to mathematical transitions of data for the old area and the vise-versa for the new area. All areas of the game do remain active.

So, please don't try to feed crap to people when you obviously do not have a clue.

It's always hearwarming to see an average joe who thinks they have the intellectual capacity to be a cynic. Sorry buddy, but it takes many years of being smart enough to know how stupid everybody else is before you can become truly bitter.
