Let me start by saying that I do know that in order to increase the flashlight's range, you change "range" and "range_r2".

But I don't really know what the rest does, except for "r, g, b, a", which is for color.

Basically I would like to increase the width/area of the light circle so that the flashlight's light beam covers a wider area.

Thanks for the response.

I hope that's correct, it seems to be what I want to change.

Going by what you said, spot angle is exactly the other thing I was looking for, then.

Thanks!

; range_r2 - how far light is cast from the flashlight, basically the effective range.
; color_r2 - the color of the light (R,G,B,alpha). Affects both color and intensity.
; omni_range_r2 - how much NPC bodies are illuminated by their own lights. Lower values mean less, higher value means more.
; omni_color_r2 - see color_r2
; spot_angle - how wide the beam is.

; if you're using static lighting then r2 values do not apply.
; if you're using full dynamic lighting then r2 values do apply.

Ah, I see. Thanks for the extra information.

That made things clearer and easier for me go back and re-edit it until I had it to my liking.

In this case I'm going to leave the omni values alone since I only want to change the flashlight for my character.

Also, I'm using full dynamic lighting, for the record.

On a side note...

I'm learning a lot from this forum/message board lately. This game has a lot of stuff to mess with and it's pretty much my first time modding a game, let alone as extensively as I have so far. Plenty of good information to go around.

Of course I'm still going through some trial and error with that. But eventually, I think I'll get things to how I want them.

This S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is going to have to get in here before he gets out of here.
