---QUOTATION--- I've just down 'Witches Abroad' a Discworld novel from Terry Pratchett. I LOVE his work! It's like Monty Python in Middle Earth, but with convincing characters and excellent plot. He's written about 25 discworld novels now, I think, and I've read about sixteen of them. Still have some to go, but can't wait!
Before that I've read a novelization of the movie Waterworld...mwoa kinda mediocre.
I still have an original English version of Lord of the Rings lying around. I've read the Dutch version, but I was curious how the English version was after seeing the movies of course.
I also love the classic stuff. I've read a lot of Arthur C. Clark and Heinlein, that sort of stuff. ---END QUOTATION---
Well, I can consider these after I'd finish my stuff. Thanks for the heads-up!

From the halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli'
We fight our countrys battles In the air', on land, and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom , And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marines.
Our flags unfurl'd to every breeze From dawn to setting sun';
We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far-off northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job - The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy Ever gaze on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines. - US Marines Hymn

‘Right, this calls for a particularly subtle blend of psychology and extreme violence.’

I don't read no books an'more, matis . These days, I only read e-books from my PDA. Just finished "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown, although the book's content is very conterversial when it comes to Christianity, attacking the centre of my religion with "neo-realism" - a term that I coined, for a novel condition when everything is well-researched, then the writer created his own "truth" with this facts. Very dangerous book, I suppose.
Currently attacking "The five people you meet in heaven." A good book, I suppose. The writer starts her story by writing the ending first, a technique to creat a vortex to suck readers in, because people wants to know the guy who died in the end. Definitely something I'll read soon enough before I start "Verdict 2". Also had Bourne identity series in my CPU inventory now, think it is a good novel. Yes, it is the book the movie was based on.

What is everybody reading right now?
yeah I was wondering because I just went to barnes and Nobles(a popular chain of bookstores in the US) and picked up a few books. I saw Blade runner but never read Philip K. Dick's actual work so I picked up "Do Androids dream of Electric sheep?" for the blade runner stuff and also "The Simulacra" by the same author. I personally love this classic sci fi stuff made in the 60s and 70s so I thought it was mandadotry to pick up these books.
What are you guys reading?
Love to the cool and the genuine people, the last real diplomats on earth.
