A contest-judging idea I have... add-on to the current system
Well, seeing that the game devs have delayed the game, I was thinking of something and El presto- I have a nice idea.
The current situation - we know that GSC understand that the voting system is flawed, both by contestants (oddly, I haven't seen this happening among the contestants ) and splunking wankers.
When we asked them why don't they take out the top stories board, they said that those on the top deserve to be there.
Okay, here comes my idea:
Since now they have the extra time, we will still take the top ten stories. But now, we ask them to take into recognition of the top fifteen stories 10 more stories that we think are underated.
Which means, we ask them to read the story as developers since they have ample amount of time now. The total stories they will be reading are 25- not very long in my opinion. This will not only downplay the role of the top ten list, but also give those stories at the bottom of the ladder a breathing space. Besides, if someone have the ability to stand the test of quality, they will sruvive alright.
So how do you guys think of this?

From the halls of Montezuma To the shores of Tripoli'
We fight our countrys battles In the air', on land, and sea.
First to fight for right and freedom , And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title Of United States Marines.
Our flags unfurl'd to every breeze From dawn to setting sun';
We have fought in every clime and place Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far-off northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes,
You will find us always on the job - The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps Which we are proud to serve;
In many a strife we've fought for life And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy Ever gaze on Heaven's scenes,
They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines. - US Marines Hymn
