I for one, would find out where the impostor lives and wait for him in a window opposite of his room with a .50 cal. sniper rifle.

This is a real problem in the literary contest, people impersonating other people, therefore turning them against each other. The rating system is extremely flawed, people can just change their name and re-register. If you want a good example, read the comment section of CrystallineSiblings in the Literary Contest.

I'd recommend just ignoring them, since they can't really do anything to you. As long as your writing style, tone and attitude remain the same with your other posts it's easy to tell when someone is impersonating you.

They could just not allow people from seperate IPs to post under the same name, or link a name with a forum registered name. Although I don't see how it's a big problem anyway - since the fallacies in voting are far more problematic than the abusive comments (that seem especially problematic in my story's comments...5 are actually helpful and then it's "russians suck" "no they don't" "they have the mob!" etc. Pffft, no one in my story is even Russian (suffice it to say 'cock' is mentioned numerous times thereafter).

Although I think that started because someone was comparing it to the top rated story on the Russian page - whose author is vyashleslev romanchenko or something. I'd rather they left actual criticisms or just favorite or worst parts or something. I'd take amoki's explanative 6 over someones "OMG Russian's suck!" randomly voted 9.

I also find it funny that no one bothers scrolling down to vote on the other stories (like the one with 11 votes) although they're about 1/20th the length of mine.

There's also the whole "My story is split into 5 billion parts - so it can get voted on numerous times"-thing, which is stupid. I could have posted mine in seperate parts - and if you read it, you'll know where they are...but it's just idiotic to have 6 parts of one story all voted on seperately...

But that's getting off track.

Anyway, personally, I'd grab their name and then see what I can do about voiding their SSN in the US. Otherwise they're too far away and it's too much work .

Pretty smart way of thinking, but I prefer the good ol' fashioned way. Tracking them down, putting their eyes on skewers after decapitating then, then putting meathooks into their spinal column and hanging his corpse from by balcony, then tossing his genitals onto the street and watch the stray dogs gobble them up.

Hehe, I assume that comment's directed at me. Let me explain a bit:

I posted my story up in the forum as seperate parts so I could get comments on each part. However, I expected GSC to post it up as a single story. Nope. There was actually some confusion in my comments section as to how the votes would be counted for a multi-part story. Really, I don't care about the votes, I just read the comments.

Yeah, I like to read the comments too. It is really hard to do that because you don't know who is really who. I am really interested as to what Amoki will do if he catches someone imperdsonating him and making another enemy. I hope it's bloody

I already have the guy's track, but why should I bother? He has no say over the final result of the contest. Keep your eyes on the goal; never lead astray by those in front of you

Yeah, that is pretty logical. the whole point of this thread is to think of something bloody and violent!! Come on, I already know most of the stuff mentioned before, please try fantasizing about murdering the stupid prick! One less abuser of the system is one more chance for the game to become successful. Think like that!!
