I have to ask since if u kill someone wrong you cant complete the game, will something go wrong if i kill mercs in darkscape next to the lake or something like that also the ones in gas station or at least looks like it, and if u can tell me what else NOT to do, i mean i just want not to start game all over again, thanks
Seems the main game-killer is killing the Sin in Cordon or joining Duty. This is on a list of things to be fixed, as I understand it.
Beyond that, killing folks who are not currently trying to kill you is entirely your choice. It can only damage your standing with whatever faction they belong to. Plus they might, at some point, play a part in a side-quest, thus you remove your chance of doing that quest by killing them before you get it.
Seems to be a good idea to live and let live, unless somebody gets too insistent about doing it the other way.

A preoccupation with the next world is a clear indication of an inability to cope credibly with this one.

Yea don't kill anyone ya don't have to until you complete storyline and freeplay mode.
Maybe when I get bored exploring everywhere in freeplay mode and get all missions done for it I will go on a rage attack and kill everyone I find (except traders of course). Then it will be more of a challenge wheen freeroaming
