r2_allow_r1_lights in Full Dynamic mode

I noticed that places like Bar and the scientist bunkers were completely black in DX9 and DX10 (Full Dynamic mode).

Switched to Static and noticed that these places were lit using this mode.

Then I saw that r2_allow_r1_lights were set to Off in Dynamic mode, so I turned it On, and the Bar and bunkers have light again.

Question is, is this setting supposed to be on in dynamic mode? And why is it off by default, making these places completely dark?

If it's the setting in user.ltx, then it is On on my computer.

Did you reuse your old user.ltx or deleted it so the game could create a new one after installing patch 1.3002?

What settings do you have to r2_sun_lumscale, _hemi and _amb ?

The latest patch changes these so at least with DX10, it's not completely dark in heavily shaded areas if the sun is out. Similarly I would expect that inside the Bar it won't be completely dark if the sun is out but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I wouldn't have a problem with those areas being completely dark where there is no source of light. Other than GI effects from the sources of light within the room, there is no ambient sun light in bunkers to light them up like there is outside. So while outside, when the sun is out, in a completely shaded area I still expect to see something and not have to use my flashlight, inside a bunker that may not be true. It makes the lighting more realistic which adds to the atmosphere of the game as it disables fake lighting that is used in R1.

Yes, I read that it increased frame rate (which it did) so the user.ltx is brand new.

Here is what the Pripyat Outskirts bar looks like with r2_allow_r1_lights off https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2033376/STALKER/r2_allow_r1_lights_off.jpg

and on https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2033376/STALKER/r2_allow_r1_lights_on.jpg

I have manually turned off r2_sun to get smoother frame rate on my laptop, but turning it on or off doesn't affect the light inside these places.

I haven't touched any of the other r2_sun settings, everything is default:
r2_sun_lumscale 1.
r2_sun_lumscale_amb 0.25
r2_sun_lumscale_hemi 0.65

dezodor, PieceMaker: from the screenshots it's pretty clear that it should be on (and probably is on my system too) so ignore what I said earlier.
