Ok thanks, I've done that and now have some lighter fast moving clouds but no sunshine!
Do you know what console commands I can use to look at the weather status or change it? |

I don't know about console commands to query/change the weather but pressing "~" will display the console log and in there there are 2 things I look for in terms of the weather in the log:
- when a new ingame hour begins (ex. 18:00) the weather system prints some messages about progressing to a new weather, which could be the same as the old but it will print that, you can use those messages to see if your weather ever changes
- when making a save, it says something about current weather vs next weather; see if the next weather is ever different from the current weather
In my case, like I said, it seems to just cycle around r2_alpha, af_partial and af_cloudy.
