Editing stashes

Hey guys!

I just startet to play lost alpha and i LOOOVE it! perfect game! just like i always wanted stalker to be!

i always find it fun to edit the game a little bit tho, and right now im wondering how i would go about to edit a stash.

i know alot (all?) stashes are edited in the "treasure manager" file under config/misc.

But im looking to add a couple of items to the first stash, the one with all your things in Sids basement when you start a new game.. and i just cant find where you edit that stash..

can someone please help me? what file do i need to edit?

That isn't the same kind of 'stash'. The ones in treasure_manager are the ones you get messages from corpses for. The one in Sid's bunker contains your starting equipment.

No idea where to change its contents, but giving yourself better equipment from the start isn't really playing the game. The idea is to earn better equipment.

Or you could add what you want to any stash in treasure _manager, then remove everything from the 'condlist' line and just add 99. You could also add other factions to the 'community' line so it can come from anyone. That should make it either the first, or certainly one of the first, messages you'll get from a corpse.

well, thanks for trying to help

but, i must say..the way i play the game is up to me, so that shouldn't be a problem for you to think about, if i want to play the game diffrently from you..thats my problem right?

anyways, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction

The answer is paragraph 3 of that post. There are plenty of permacorpses around to blip for stash messages. Then save, reload, and blip them again.

If you've prepared a stash as I described then you should get the message for that stash being given first or close to it. The '99' on the 'condlist' line puts 99 chances in the hat of that message being given, whereas most stashes only have 1, 2 or 3 chances in that same hat.

Adding other factions to the 'community' line means increasing those chances by increasing the number of faction's corpses it can be had from.

Changing your starting kit may turn out to be a lot more difficult.

I know the way you do things is up to you. But saying 'perfect game!' and then wanting to change a major bit of it doesn't quite mesh. That would make it 'imperfect' from your point of view.
