optional switch radar phantoms

It might be a good idea to have an option to switch off radar phantom effects. They aren't critical and in my case the effect causes nausea.

Maybe a few doses of Dramamine should be offered free with every download of the game.

Sorry about that. I wasn't quite fast enough - I've never experienced motion sickness of any sort, so the 'smug' fraction of my personality leapt to the fore and typed the above before I could stop it.

Well, they are _meant_ to be a nuisance, so shoot at them or deal with it. Going to the radar (even with a protection helmet) is not supposed to be just another day in the Zone. It's an area where countless Stalkers have met their early end or worse.

I consider that a non-response. I can always disable the feature (I did in the original game) or stick it out even if the result is head-aches and general nausea. I'm just suggesting that having an in-game effect that is unavoidable that has this kind of real world issue should have the option to change or disable.

There are others. The controller body-twisting effect causes in me an intense desire to punch somebody.

A switch to turn that off would be a safety feature - I'm not a big chap, so punching somebody would probably result in me getting the crap kicked out of me.

You may consider it a non-response but I don't think it's practical for an action game to make UI options to disable all possible little things that can cause nausea or make various people sick.

If instead you are looking for a mod to help you with that, that's a completely different subject. I'm only against polluting the configuration UI with minimally (in terms of % of people that would use it) useful options.

Have you tried if playing in third person view as much as possible works? You know, F2 and F3. With F2 you can still change direction while on the move but makes hitting targets very difficult. With F3 I believe you can only run straight forward.
