Please reduce the amount of stashes in this game!

This is a great game, and it's very realistic to a point. My only real complaint is the amount of hidden stashes in the game. It seems like every 3rd or 4th bandit I kill gives me the location to another hidden stash.

I hope the amount of stashes is slightly reduced in an upcoming patch.
I also hope they fix the PDA bug where sometimes a quest marker or stash stays on your PDA even after you've finished the quest or took the stash.

I think the large number of stashes add to the realism.

I mean, think about it. There are hundreds, if not thousands of other people in the zone. They have the same weight constraints that you do, and they are trying to hide their stuff in a place where the thousand other people won't find it.

It makes perfect sense, you just need to restrain yourself and not pick them all up.

The problem with that is then you'll have a bunch of purple markers all over your map.

Maybe they could put a time limit on how long the stash markers stay on your PDA.

Or better yet, we should be able to remove the markers when we want to.

But what is wrong with having the purple markers? Are they restricting you in some way, or are you just worrying over the fact that your map is messy.

The problem I find with stashes is that they aren't filled until you read someones PDA. Then there's the problem of the same stash being pointed to multiple times, making the stash rediculously over populated with loot.

Stashes as they are now are a real disapointment. There is zero reward for taking the time to search the landscape because if you do find one it is going to be empty. Once you are given stash locations all the fun of finding them is removed.

I think that stashes should be filled from the beginning and PDA information of their locations should be dropped far more sporadicly than it is now. As things stand, you only have to search the bodies at the car park in the garbage or the constant battle ground where Nimble was held to find half the stashes in the game.

You're not serious are you? It's common sense that most people aren't going to want them all over their PDA.

The amount of stashes is ok.

But the Stash should disappear from the Map when you search it.

At the moment I have to make my own map on a piece of paper, so I can remember which stashes I have already searched

Oh by the way, does anyone actually use the stashes to store your own stuff?

I simply drop my items anywhere (usually on the road somewhere), and Ive never had anything missing.

Thats whats great about stalker, the items stay Static and dont disappear unlike some other games (GTA for example)

I like the stashes as is. I would prefer that the bug be fixed so they disappear when emptied though. stashes give incentives so that people explore areas they otherwise would not bother with.

But it's not really exploration if they're telling you where to go all the time. The stashes should be filled from the start and PDA's should only point out the harder to find and less lucrative stashes, leaving you to search for the better stuff on your own.
