definately map more explorable possibly bigger. I like several of the ideas on the list, good work.

the idea with tree climbing may seem dumb but would be good for things such as hunting/sniping. I think if they had some mutant hunting quests and you climb up a tree when getting chased by a group of dogs and that would be cool. I think mutants such as blood suckers can climb up after you?

I also want to see more AI immersion...more in depth conversations...and definately more life like AI actions..such as at night..half of the STALKER go to sleep for x amount of time..while other half keep watch, then the 'firewatch' switches...talking, trading, etc. more AI immersion

I want more enemies though! lol I always say that...I want the armies of rats huge armies of dogs, ZOMBIES, I just don't feel like I have to worry about my survival in this game when all I do is walk from point A to point B and only encounter 5 mutants. =

although with all these suggestions...it will take GSC 30 years to add it all in. =| i'm afraid

Diffrent pieces of armour? You do realise that even the lowly Stalker Armour is actually a low end NBC suit right? Nobody could stitch together one with a needle and thread, epoxy, gold leaf (yep gold, or lead) in any reasonable amount of time. I think there should be different items to ADD to armour, like a titanium plate for the front and back, or better electronic systems, food dispensers (MMM squeeze cheese!) oxygen tanks, filtration gear, disposible coveralls etc.

I would really love to see some classic russian weaponry, or more exotic civilian types. Like a real shortie double barrel that fits into the pistol slot. An old school bolt Mossin-Nagant, SVT 40 or an SKS would be great with a bayonet.

Personally, the weapon damage/wear in the game, I think reflects on the poor quality ammunition that exists in the zone. The AK74 ammo could be over thirty years old, which I do not have to say, is really crappy. Who knows what the zone does to ammo anyway?

I want to repair (or clean, cleaning would be cool).

I wan to repair my armor so bad! I have a monolith suit that i just got and i really don't want my bullet cap dropping to 30 while a group of Elite millitary pepper my backside with Obokan rounds. I think that the implementation of cleaning kits would be neat too. Tents too tents would be neat... and while i'm at make a sequel. I haven't beaten the game yet but if something important happens you can always make a prequel, or another stalker game in a totally different disaster area. Like NY after WW3 or any other potential area but make it quick before ww3 actually happens so like under a decade. Well i got a bit ahead of myself but i really just want to stress the repairing and cleaning kit idea. I like the controls though, i also dig the crouch and crouch lower buttons, makes it great for taking cover. Great game! Still again getting ahead of myself. One more thing... nvm.

List continued

69) Bicycles as a form of transportation

70) Diversity among Stalkers motives - psychopaths, kleptomaniacs, hunters

71) Haggling when trading rather than static prices

72) Becoming a target when Stalkers notice you have high value items

73) The price of an item dropping the more of it you sell (supply and demand)

74) Classes of anomaly detector - budget using sound identification only, top range being implemented in binoculars and using sound and visual identification

75) Enable free play after main storyline is finished

76) More lifelike behaviour of AI humans

77) Classic weaponry such as Mosin-Nagant and SVT40 - should only be able to afford cheaper weaponry at the beginning of the game.

78) Your level of "experience" having an effect on the game - armor/weapon modifications coming apart more often, longer reloads, pronounced effects of recoil

79) More you use a certain weapon, the more proficient you become with it

80) Suit equipment that does not serve as armor - oxygen tanks, disposable coveralls, filtration gear

81) Throwing an artefact into an anomaly would give 50% chance of destroying the artefact, 25% chance of reducing the artefact's properties and 25% chance of altering/boosting artefact's properties.

82) Remove the time limit for reward collection once a mission is complete. (gets really annoying "failing" a mission because you didn't collect the reward on time, though it might be feasible for collection missions)

Keep the suggestions coming, guys! Some great stuff in there. I only wish we could edit a post indefinitely, so I could chuck all this stuff in the main list on the first page Oh well!

better conversations with AI, AI act more lifelike, IE: eating, sleeping, talking, trading, patrolling, hunting..etc etc. you get the idea.

some new areas...IE: Radiation treatment camp *posted that idea in a different thread of mine*

and I think the idea of repairing/cleaning your gear would be cool and all..but be rather hard to program? Definately think you should be able to repair your weapon to it's former status though.

Hmm, depends. This is the way I envision it:

You find your weapon jamming with increasing regularity, so you decide to have a closer look at it. You run to a safe spot, and take it apart for cleaning/parts replacement. Right click on your weapon in inventory, select "Field Strip", which would open up your weapon's "inventory". There you would see the weapon and the various things that make up the weapon (for example, barrel, stock, trigger mechanism etc). You could then examine each for wear and tear, and buy replacements or scavenge replacements from other weapons as necessary.

It wouldn't be that much different from attaching scopes, I would imagine, and would be an alternative from just picking up any old rifle lying around that has a better "health meter".

The "weapon inventory" thing would be useful for making modifications too. If you have duct tape and a spare knife, you could fashion a makeshift bayonet. Or tape a laser pointer to the rifle/pistol as an aiming aid, or a grenade launcher attachment (granted there's already one in the game)

true true, thats a good idea, I like that idea more than mine, but mine would be easier for the programmers. Like when you have a jam all you do is reload, well for cleaning/stripping all you do is push a button on the keyboard and your guy takes his gun apart and cleans it?

I like your idea better though lol.

another idea to fix the spawning is boar lairs - dog dens

where the boars live, dogs live..and then for rebels have like a camp or a few camps so when you kill some rebels they have to go from the camp to wherever, rather than just spawn in the damn road, and if they have it where people sleep...then what you can do is sneak past the rebels keeping watch and kill some rebels while they sleep in the camps?

and I was thinking..rather than have vehicles in the game..what about a fast travel sort of thing? Because vehicles in the zone *although if this happened in real life im sure the Russian military would use vehicles* seems like it would sort of give the player an unfair advantage over all the other people and mutants in the game making it easier.

Why not make it simpler? Just have a "Canabalize for Parts" right click option and have a "gun parts" item, like "Viper 5 Machine gun parts" Then have another Right click option like Fix current weapon just like the grenade launcher and the scope.
