41) Tree climbing
---END QUOTATION---

You can already do this with some of the broader trees by hopping up - useful for escaping a persistent dog pack! But yeah, they could just apply a ladder tag to the bark texture. Then you could run up the nearest conifer to get away from some angry boars - and have hidden stashes in tree tops. It may make escaping a bit easy though.

..there is so much shit in this list

tree climbing? WTF
it would look stupid, no one needs it, and it just doesnt fit in the game wtf

that list contains too many things that are principially worthless

things like coop are much more important than "tree climbing" or "flashlight upgrades"
wtf

no one can take this list serious as long as u put such things in it
---END QUOTATION---

I'm simply listing all the suggestions that I've seen so far made by OTHER people (with an occasional comment by myself). I haven't included stuff like akimbo guns because its just plain out of place in S.T.A.L.K.E.R., but I think tree climbing does have its merits.

For example, on an assassination mission, you have your target surrounded by a contingent of bodyguards; there's no way in hell you'll get close enough to take him out. So you find the nearest (climbable) tree, and wait for him to get in range. The foliage would then conceal you unless the enemy got too close.

Of course, you wouldn't make every tree climbable, because that would make mutants largely redundant. However, almost everything has a way to be implemented nicely, so I'll include it here. But akimbo pistols are just silly in a game like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. so I didn't list it. (Sorry to the guy who emailed me )

Of course there are priorities when it comes to enhancing the game. It's up to the devs to choose which features they want to implement. We should do all we can to give them ideas for when they've got all the important stuff out of the way and want to just make the game that little bit more fun.

u should make priorities or make a list of things that really should be changed or added (like 1,2,4,5,12, and some others) and things that maybe could be added, but not necessarily (like tree climbing which would be kind of hart to do and at the same time isnt really what everyone wants and needs....)

also things like point 13) More traders - ...
they are hard to add now, because each trader is a specific part of the story line, u cant just drop a trader out in the nowhere and let him trade things
instead of that u could make 13) Stalkers and other people should trade more stuff and have more money, as well as stalkers who are considered as your friends should be able to trade more stuff and maybe special stuff with you

THAT would be a suggestions

"13) More traders" on the other hand seems kind of useless

I'm just putting up every suggestion that I see. Some I think are valid, some I think aren't too valid but others might see something in them (a way to make them a fun part of the game), so I put them up anyway.

Decane's made a "priority" thread, ripping whole chunks out of my list here, but I'm not presuming to add my own values to suggestions. I'm not the only one who plays the game, so my views aren't the only valid ones. I thought tree climbing was ridiculous, for example, til I thought about it from a different angle and it made so much more sense for a game like this.

The "More traders" thing wouldn't be an addition to the main storyline, but perhaps a branch to another storyline, or an expansion.

For example: Seriy says to go talk to Mole... but he's also heard of another guy, a trader by the name of Vasiliy, who's hiding out in an old bunker to the east. Vasiliy then asks you to escort him out of there, then becomes a proper trader and gives you a different path to follow.

All depends on how you look at it.

I'd like to know that too. I may be wrong, I haven't seen a member of the actual development team post on these boards. Hopefully that means they're hard at work creating more content/patches

My 2 euros

Interesting list. Not too bad on the whole, but here are my comments and thoughts (for what they are worth).

Comments on the Fixes/Tweaks list
* I'm not convinced that anomolies should be rarer. I quite like the density as it is at the moment. However, I do think that they should move around; even if there is no "blow-out" to make it happen.
* I'm against bandages only stopping bleeding. While I will concur that it's slightly more realistic I think that for gameplay reasons it's not something that should be implemented.
* I'm in agreement with food only alleviating hunger. I've always had enough bandages and med-kits to use, so resorting to food for healing always felt a bit redundant.
* In the trade screens I would love to see either my equipped items marked somehow, or simply hidden.
* I like the fact that the run button is a toggle. Make it optional if you like. Holding it down simply increases the likelyhood of RSI.
* Limited ammo for enemies ... not sure about this one. It might break the game.
* Some of the bugs I've seen reported on the PDA are not actually bugs. I like the fact that the stash markers do not vanish after you've found them. However, finding a PDA with a reference to the same stash over and over is annoying. The PDA is a nice idea but on the whole the interface is flawed. It's very hard to figure out what's new and what isn't. It also gets confused about where quests are as well.
* The whole, crouch/low-crouch suggestion is wrong to my mind. You actually have 3 positions at the moment. Walking, sneaking, crouching. Prone might be a nice addition (although I think the grass would get in the way). I'd rather see "stance-up" and "stance-down" buttons. Again, having the "sneak mode" as a toggle is nice. But having to be in "sneak" mode in order to get to crouch is just silly.
* It amused me that you wanted the ability to toggle the iron sights; when you have consistently asked for the other toggles (run and sneak) to be taken out. I like having to hold the "iron sight" button down. So again, this one should be optional.
* In my experience the damage system is fine. The accuracy of the guns is generally pretty terrible though.
* I agree with the bandit respawn rate thing. There are also groups of bandits that I'm thoroughly bored with fighting my way through. More bandit spawn positions would be very very welcome as well.

Other thoughts/content
* I like the idea of being able to repair armour. Add weapons to the list and it would be great. And yes to more weapon mods (accuracy and reduced weight would be nice).
* I definately agree with being able to place you own markers on the map. Although to be fair some sort of waypoint system would be nice.
* One of the things that has been annoying is being given missions that you can't actually do yet. For example I had to kill a STALKER in the Dark Valley, but I hadn't picked up the science suit so I wasn't able to go there. I've come across a couple of instances of those.
* Having a time limit on missions got old as well.
* Trying to work out which quests are "story quests" and which quests are merely side missions was quite difficult at first. Can they be colour coded (or distinguished in some other way)?
* Having to continually re-do the same defense mission(s) over and over is becoming irritating.
* I'd like to see more mutants roaming around the zone. Currently I spend all my time killing bandits. (so much for being alone).

I'm sure I had some other thoughts as well, but those are the ones that are bugging me right now.

I'm with you on the mission repeating thing. Especially when I go into Garbage, I'm given that "defend the Stalker camp" mission again and again. I can't figure out if this is a bug, or a "feature", but it's damn annoying.

Hi,

I think it's a very good list. In my opinion. All items are worth being considered for implementation by the developers. Also the minor ones, like tree climbing.

The only Item I really disagree with is item (52). I really like the amount of humans versus mutants in the game. Feels realistic and tense the way it is. But maybe it would be good to make the Controller (and maybe also the Poltergeist) more dangerous.

My additions:

Additions to (10) (also 36 & 38): More and improved interaction with NPC's / activer NPC AI.

(10.1) Getting NPC's to help you / follow you.
(10.2) Getting them to follow you or go in a certain direction (by whatever means) so you can ambush them / kill them / trap them / use them as a bait, etc.)
(10.3) Being able to loot cash from corpses, while some NPC try to steal cash from you.
(10.4) Diversity among stlaker's motives. Some are the lazy corpse-looting type, some are hit-men, some like hunting mutants, explore terrain, search for artifacts, etc. --> Type of interaction with stalkers depents on ther motives.
(36.1) NPC's should be looting (at the moment a place with a lot of corpses becomes a stockpile with free guns and other items). After a battle NPC's should be seeing checking corpses for useful items while the useless/cheap/abundant items should be left on the corpse.
(38.1) NPC's should help their injured mates. (Rushing to look for a medkit if they don't have any, instead of going to sit on their lazy ass by the campfire)

Additions to (25, 49 &51): More realistic and dynamic economy; Money should have more purpose.

(25.1) Dynamic 'supply and demand' system for Weapons, Ammo, medkits, antirad, etc. Example: if a weapon is rare in a certain area it should be expensive to buy and NPC's or traders would be more willing to trade for it or buy it from you. Also rare items should be looted frequently by other NPC's.
(25.2) In addition NPC's don't want to trade every item or amount of cash they have. They should be able to reject somthing you are offering them or asking from them.
(25.3) Neutral NPC's going rouge on your ass because they found out you are carying a very valuable/rare item. (shouldn't happen often though)
(25.4) Bring 2 or more of the same artifacts to a trader and the price will drop significantly afterwards, etc, etc...

And a note on (47): "Remove anomalies detector". --> Maybe it would be a possibility to make it a rare, expensive, buyable item.
Exaple:
- Anomaly detector 'budget': Sound only. ($80.000)
- Anomaly detector 'pro': Sound, Visual and visual anomaly indicator implemented in Binoculars. ($175.000)

That's all for now.

I hope they will use some of these features. STALKER is an awesome game, but it definately needs some polishing to make it perfect. From my part of view I didn't get all that I expected and I hope some of the thing that are missing, will be added in patches or expansions.

Thanks!

Awsome list cougar7 keep it up

Ive seen in other threads requesting enable free play after game ending.

And point 16) I think is the most imortant...
I think The entire zone/map should be reworked to be like oblivion a massive world with no load screens [link]https://www.gsc-game.com/index.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr&thm_page=1&thm_id=6238&sec_id=14[/link]
