I know that the wars turn on and off, but I've finished X18 over 3 virtual days and haven't seen a single change in gameplay over base 2009, which has me thinking it's not working (although not crashing either). Perhaps it's something special with 2009, though, but I wanted to check here first to see if those files alone would suffice.

You are better off merging 1.0 as Stalker Complete already has ZRP in it, you will save alot of time using only 1.0.

And yes wars are random, more you progress, more they become active due to opened up infoportions and such.

I tried to merge V1 into SC and it did not work well. I tried to merge SC into V1.01 and it didn't work well either. For instance, in Warehouses, I'd get the same 5 loners moving between the village and farm every time over many days. Stuff like that.

I just esc-T to freeplay, so opening up infoportions shouldn't be an issue, right? I'm aiming to make a nice Freedom freeplay mod for myself, so I'm not worried about the storyline.

Anyway, now I'm starting over again. I'm probably just going to start with the 1.01 as my base and merge singular mods in that I liked from SC, including some of the SC textures and configs. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yep, choosing the freeplay opens up alot of the AI, and glad to see its being put to use, 1.01 isn't the best mod out or most stable, but its good to see its liked, i would like to be kept up to date about your mod, please feel free to even post progress in this thread if you wish.

No crashes, and when I got the military bridge in Cordon, there was a Duty guy in a shoot-out with the military. I've never seen a Duty guy in the Cordon in Stalker, so that was unexpected (and pretty cool, as he mopped the floor with about 3 soldiers before being taken down).

So I think it might be working out of the box.

All I want is a little fun randomness with Complete 2009's beauty. I love a little bit of unpredictability in Stalker.

Hey buddy, thats good news, keep updating us on how it goes, if it really is that easy for the mods to be put together via SMM, then that means the majority of players can do it without needing to fight with merging, keep us update, and maybe a few screenshots.

Update on my trials.

Got FW1.01 to work with ABC sleeping bag, Sound Overhaul 1.07rc2, AAO 1.8, Panoramic Mod 2.1 w/sun, 1154 HUD 1.3, naturemod spring 2.0, RepairMod 2.5, hades real gore mod, particle enhancement v3, ragdoll mod 1.3, rules of engagement, and some textures from SC2009 for the guns, arm, asphalt, maps, and wind. My "health minimod" is working nicely also.

I cannot get the AI PACK final to work without ruining the game (CTD no log) - WinMerging the files isn't easy since they have slightly different formats and my LUA skills are crap. I can't find SoC lightbulb mod, and the SSO oggs don't seem properly commented so I might take that mod out. I can't for some reason get proper add_radar_loadout(), etc, to work in _dev.script when modifying the file. It breaks the teleport function when I shift things around, but I might be making typos or something. Whatever, I can just drop the loot.

I left out a lot of the graphical mods from SC2009 simply because my machine is old and crappy and the 4sec hitches I'm getting as is are bad enough!

Also, I sort of want to steal the SC2009 weather system as base Panoramic mod isn't as nice. I might merge the SC2009 weather/Pano with SWO3's rainy cycles since that wouldn't be an issue.

Or I might actually play for a bit and enjoy myself and just leave it as is now that it WORKS!





So far, nothing huge to report from Freedom's compound. The group has returned, apparently, from deep within the Zone. Unfortunately two lost their lives when they and Max, who would not SHUT UP, died in a freak exploding fuel can accident that Strelok had NOTHING to do with. Loners have taken over the farm, and I personally killed the last Dutyer patrolling the place. Tomorrow, I head to Rostok to take out a man called "Sparrow". Hopefully I can sneak past the Duty guards without taking any hits, but it is a journey likely to be fraught with danger. I tucked in for the night to the sweet sounds of a Freedom guitar, raindrops, and rolling thunder, cuddling my warm bloodstone to help heal my wounds from that "freak" fuel can accident.

As for your progress sounds sweet bro, i also had alot of trouble getting AI pack to work, for some reason it did not want to work, tryed about 8 times merging didn't work each time, even a freind of mine tryed, got the same thing as me, stupid files.

I agree, the graphics stuff IMO look great, but for those who can't run it, can be a pain, i am luckly, my new rig or atleast old rig as i class it now, as it was built awhile ago, can handle them just about, my older one can not.

And lol at the last sentence, mmm, Freak fuel can accidents happen alot in the zone, forget blowouts, really should control those barrels and cans, can hurt someone. XD

Ill send an email shortly hopefully, if i get round to it.

Uploaded a new patch for Abc Inferno faction wars.

Tweaked Npc spawn numbers and general balancing it is now one patch only, got good action and its not as crazy as the R1 version.

New game is advised...

Havent had much time to look at the patches due to working on other projects but right now Ive got some free time.

Edit: For V1.01 gonna rearm most of the Npc`s and make them stronger, some are outclassed in ABC faction wars and I will also include Rulix ai.....
