Hell, those who says cannibalisme is good is damn sick, man! The Zone is only 30 sq. km large, and I am sure you can run around it for three days and still not dead!
Hell, a can food can't be so expensive that you'll sacrifice your integrity to do it! ( Of course, it is only a game!)

You either lack perspective, or have too much of it.
The only thing wrong with cannibalism is
a) It has been muddled with the "Island Cannibal" stereotype. This in itself has its religious connotations.
b) Cannibalism requires a dead human, murder just so happens to be unethical.
c) Human meat probably isn't that healthy. Grain-fed cow vs. Burger-fed human.

But for all intents and purposes, it's still MEAT! Dead muscle, skin, and fat. Composed of protein and oil constructs known as cells, riddled with various other ingredients.

And the zone, for being 30km wide, is filled with a variety of anomalies and vicious creatures that threaten to rip the unwary traveler into shreds.
If you ran around for 3 minutes there's a real nice chance you'll be missing 3 out of 4 limbs. In fact, the Zone in the game isn't near as dangerous as it should be.

Stalkers aren't rich, and knowing how things go cans of food or what-not are probably extremely overpriced, simply because they can be.

Normal life beyond a "9 to 5" job is hard enough as it is without sacrificing your integrity. I'd like to see how far it goes in the Zone.

Better beleave its unhealthy, mad cow disease only happened becouse of the feeding cows meat of thier own kind. But I doubt you would have the effects happening fast enough that you could see the effects.

Still the problem with having canabalism in is that it isn't realistic... you might argue that anyone can open thier mouth and eat human flesh and be right BUT the social views behind it will prevent all but a small percent of the population. This wouldn't be realisticly shown in the game becouse, face it its not real life and so people would be less reluctent to do something they wouldn't even think twice about doing in life.

That is the only reason I think it shouldn't be in, there will not be the extream conditions that force people to break this social barrior. Without those conditions having it in will just tempt the introduction of an completely unrealsitic verable, the fact is many people will do it just becouse they can't in life. If we are going to strive for realism we must make sure there is penalties for doing unrealistic things and completely eleminate, unfortaunly, the little things which will tempt people to do completely unrealistic actions.

I'm suprised to find that no one have even commented on that the dead Stalker may be carring food on themself, which opens another questions. What can be salvageable. I don't think I have seen any thread in relation to theft.

Any redirection would be good.

Very good point this one. Food is vital in the zone so every other stalker will be carrying food on them also, so why eat the stalker when you can just loot the food he is carrying and eat it instead?

EUHHH!!!! MAN.... you guys are sick. What kind of sickos are you ???? UHH disgusting. Man, if i were to find a dead body, i would eat his gun........

Anyways, yeah, most people wouldn't eat another human, although i dont see anything wrong with it, but yeah, face it, most people wouldn't eat one, that may include me (i've never exactly had this situation.)

You should be able to just about steal anything off of a dead corpse, all their items, clothes (discluding underpants), and anything else they might have (that includes gold teeth)
