No, unless you added it to the all.spawn.

Hmm...seems like when I add a new weapon to a character's loadout doesn't seem to do anything on a current save.Only if I start a new game my custom loadout will appear in-game.I am editing character_desc_ xml files by the way.

Man it was waaaaay easier in Fallout games with leveled lists why didn't they think about making something similar in stalker

Items listed for [spawn] in the character descriptions is just that. They are only created when the object spawns for the first time. The actor/player is only spawned once on a new game. Making any changes to starting items won't be seen until a new game. Changes to NPC loadouts won't be seen on already existing NPC, either. Only when new NPCs using these profiles are created.

There are no levels in Stalker, so not sure how that would even apply.

I didn't know that any changes to character_desc_ files only apply to newly spawned NPCs.I thought that you have to start a new game. It's pretty sweet that I can continue with my current game and see the new loadouts I made for the NPCs soon.

Thanks alot for this information ! You saved me a lot of time.

I was mostly talking about how easy can it be to add a new list of items to an NPCs loadout in Fallout, just click and drag stuff.

Scripting is much easier in Fallout as well, because you don't need to worry about making connections like in stalker with xr_motivator,bind_stalker and all that ugly stuff
