The original gasmask (mini)mod by Thunderfreak should still be available for download on the web, simply google it. There have been other mods with Gasmasks but Thunderfreak's version was about the first, and it was a mini mod what makes it fairly easy to merge with other mods.
Something considered impossible is only something that hasn't been done yet.

It's just something I wrote for fun a while ago. I never actually gave everything sensible stats, spawns or whatever so it's not really something you'd want to play.
IIRC some Polish fellow did it as well but I don't know if he released his.
What I meant was I never uploaded it because it's totally unfinished besides the helmet system itself.
I was hoping someone would turn up some mod that had done it before, although I don't know of any.
